- How to build a doghouse. This video shows how I built a doghouse. It may be a bit OTT in places but I already had the felt, slates, paint, lead and T and G sheeting. The only thing I had to buy was the 2x2 and some of the wood for the trim. The dog in the video is not the dog that the house was built for, but was the only one of our dogs that I could get in shot! Hope you enjoy it.

What a nice construction that was..theres even a opportunity to put 1inch Kingspan board in for added insulation. My Springer likes to stay outside a lot guarding her territory. I'm going to give it a go in Lockdown 3.

may I ask where you got the roof slates (tiles)?
Hi Dan, I got them from my local hardware store. In Ireland where I am they would be the most commonly used roofing material. This may not be the case depending on where you are from.
@@EamonWalshDIY Hey Eamon, thanks for the reply, yeah in the US they are hard to come by. A shame really, The big box stores here in California make you buy 3 packs of shingles at a time. I am only building a dog house, not a mansion......lol

Thank you Charles. I dont know for sure as I had a lot of the materials from other jobs but a rough guess would be between $50-100 I could be totally wrong.
