This was literally what I was thinking of earlier randomly, and I always wondered why when I had a vampire-mermaid child, why it was always glitchy, they should definitely add hybrids.
I honestly can't STAND that they don't have hybrids... I can understand SOME might be difficult, like maybe the mermaid form with alien in or out of disguise, or similarly with the werewolf or vampire wild/dark forms, but spellcaster has no other forms. No reason why a spellcaster can't be a mermaid. I can kind of get behind aliens not being able to turn into vampires or werewolves, you can say they have a different genetic code maybe, but still....

Like there are bits that kinda make sense, like a child vampire wouldn't reasonably hunt older sims for plasma, and they don't want children to be used as food. But mermaids and aliens don't really do anything that could be in any way seen as dangerous for that occult type.

i feel like bcs vampires, spellcasters and werewolves are so fleshed out with the ranking system it completely confuses the game😭😭 and bcs aliens and mermaids suck they’re easier to handle when hybrids… all in all, EA needs to update aliens and mermaids and hybrids need work !
Guessing it is probably hard to do fully working hybrids due to disguises and the progression tree for Vampire, spellcasters and werewolves using same tab. At first thought Developers were just to lazy to make hybrids possible, but seeing as how long spellcasters and vampires been out with no modders really seeming to make it fully functional either I am guessing its not the case. Shame since would have loved spellcaster vampire, would been ultimate prankster sim.

Like for instance occult vampire spellcaster would still use spellcaster tree but use dark energy thing. So far as I am aware isn't one where vampire tree and spellcaster built up coexist fully in synch with each other that I know off.
It's hard to fix it now, since they already made it. But if they had thought about it when they brought vampires out, which they should have, because no way were they not bringing more out after vampires, then they would have been able to add hybrids without too much effort. EA is just lazy now with their games which really sucks. I hate giving them money, because they honestly don't deserve it, but there really aren't many other games out there like the sims so people (me included) keep throwing money at them. So many cool interactions, activities and systems are missing in sims 4 that have been in sims three or two. Just to clarify, I'm not saying the whole of the sims team are lazy. I'm sure there are many people on their team who are passionate and driven. But they can't really work around corporate when they are told how long they have to complete an expansion and how much money they are willing to spend on it. Corners have to get cut

Wouldn't get anything since genetically she's just a human, as seen in CAS. Using cheats to add occult traits doesn't really work. It's so much worse if you actually have a hybrid child lol.
This is SO interesting! I started doing a spreadsheet to see which occult is stronger genetically, and I discovered that there are hybrids. Not many. Human x alien gives hybrids when they are born with alien skin. There's a small chance for them to be full aliens, that's when they have the icon on CAS. Once in my gameplay long ago I had mermaid aliens, the mermaid was able to do mermaid stuff and alien stuff, which was fun. So far what I have are - 100% hybrids for humanXalien - 50/50 vampireXhuman
Oh wow!! I was unsure how Sims4 decides the baby if 2 occult reproduce. I made myself a vampire and my husband a werewolf and we have had 2 children that were both wolves. I wonder if there is a dominant gene or if it's 50/50? Hybrids would be awesome. Thanks for this!
Icedcream and twelfthdoctor's mods make them pretty stable. I have a alien-werewolf-spellcaster-vampire-mermaid-plant sim and the only 2 Glitches she has is I can't see her fury. The orb is always spell caster charge. Even on werewolf UI. And if I uses the supernatural smack down she fights twice. Once werewolf wolf form and once vampire dark form
You can naturally create a Vampire/Spellcaster Hybrid from try for baby. You just won’t know until they become a teen and you’ll get both notifications. You’ll drink blood, burn in the sun, and rank up as a Spellcaster. It’s so cool!
Fun fact: if your sim was bitten by a vampire they can still get a cursed bite before having fully turned. I notiver that and it glitched out but was kinda funny. Had all abilities of both except no access to the vampire skill tree. Honestly was kinda cool
I had Vlad turn my sim and then noticed said sims werewolf boyfriend could still give him a cursed bite for anyone who might want to re create the bug!
I had a vampire sim who was abducted by aliens once and got pregnant from it. When he had kids, he had triplets. They were fine until they aged to teen where it became apparent that somehow the game had, on its own, made them hybrids. They were full alien and full vampire. I was excited at first since they seemed cool but they were, sadly, really broken. To begin with the moment I tried to use their alt forms my game began to lag intensely. I tried editing them in cas which seemed fine at first (the disguise and dark form were, seemingly, the same just mashed together as the one available alt form) but after editing them things became worse again because every time they would change forms the game would randomize their appearance - deleting the work I’d done in cas. TLDR is they were unplayable. I was lucky their dad was max in mixology and vampire lore so I could easily make the vampire cures to turn them into just aliens (they did have the ‘former vampire life’ effects).
I do wish some occults did have cross compatibility when it comes to hybrids. Like sims cannot be all of them at once, but it would be cool if aliens could get other occult abilities that affect them in different ways, ie not a normal mermaid tail, another physical trait, etc. same with vampires getting their own mermaid tail (though optional).
Ooooh, this was interesting! This could be useful for super sim challenge. I will definetly try it on my super sim when she'll become a teen, this looks like a lot of fun!
You can get hybrids in the game, they are just considered to be more of a glitch than an actual feature. Not to mention that it is extremely difficult. I know they exist cuz I made a vampire spellcaster hybrid.
My best advice for getting hybrid sims is to just keep have your sims make children, especially since the only way I found out i had a hybrid was when they were a teenager. With the vampire spellcaster hybrid you get the vampire energy and thirst but non of the abilitys, which means they will always burn in the sunlight, but they do have the spellcasters magic abilitys and notebook at the bottom. Only problem with that is you can't see how close to overcharge you are...
@@blackthedarkoneblaydoe5672 it is, if the original sim has all occult’s the genetic sim will start doing the vamp animation, that’s how I knew also it will usually look like an alien sometimes also if your simply not sure take them in game and check
As someone who has a few hybrids myself, it’s easier to get vampire hybrids without commands on the dark ley lots, since those give you a higher likeliness to have a vampire baby, and then use 2 different occult sims (I personally use spell caster and werewolf) and make them have a baby, since the lot has the dark ley (or whatever it’s called) there’s the chance of a caster, vampire, werewolf, werewolf/caster, vampire/caster and werewolf/vampire!
When I did this my sim's mermaid form was bald and had a melting face. Then would swim through the ground. Also when marking territory He wouldn't stop peeing because he had no bladder from being a vampire. JUST A CONSTANT FLOW.

Not sure if anyone else has this issue but after watching this video I wanted to try out making a hybrid myself, but when I shift click my sims and hit cheat sim info, not all the options are there, I only have add lifestyle... and add sim preference. Anyone know why that is happening and how I can fix it ? any help is much appreciated x

However, I had no problems when I opened up the cheat box: (Press the keys all at the same time without the +) CTRL+SHIFT+C Enable cheats: testingcheats true After that, for an Alien Sim type: traits.equip_trait trait_OccultAlien Meremaid: traits.equip_trait trait_OccultMermaid Vampire: traits.equip_trait trait_OccultVampire Werewolf: traits.equip_trait trait_OccultWerewolf Spellcaster is a little different: traits.equip_trait trait_Occult_WitchOccult And if you want to remove the traits: traits.remove_trait trait_OccultAlien I had lots of fun adding and subtracting traits on a sim! My Alien/Mermaid/Vampire/Werewolf/Spellcaster Hybrid was able to take care of her hydration needs by grooming herself using a werewolf perk. And then, just for fun, I added the "secret" Nightstalker Occult to her, because what could go wrong? LOL: traits.equip_trait trait_Ghost_Curses_NightStalker_Stalker Nightstalkers look so cool! (But they're always sad.) They're part of the curses that can happen to Spellcasters, but I've never made one "naturally" in-game. Have fun!
I once created a vampire spellcaster cuz his dad was a spellcaster and when he was conceived I had the on a dark line lot trati but I removed it before he was born. The icon Is spellcaster the needs are vampire the plumbob does what he wants Cas says that he is a human and he doesn't have a dark form also the unlockable abilities are spellcaster
I made a mer spell caster once and he was stuck with a fin and would sometimes swim on land. I also made a spell caster vampire but because I couldn't access the vampire traits I couldn't level her up she would never be able to do all the stuff I would want a vampire to do like not burn in the sun so I cured her of vampirism to have her just be a spell caster.
I miss true hybrids like sims 3, i think if u take mermaid off and dont change into their occult form ever its probably playable. Many dont suggest mermaid even b4 werewolves because the tail etc is glitchy.

I had an alien, and mermaid family. My sims broke so much where the kids had no tails in their mermaid forms, and then once they hit young adult their whole body disappeared. So I had roaming floating heads walking around until they took baths or went swimming. It was humorous, but also creepy. The only ones not effected were the parents. 😂🤣
Yeah, combining 2 occults with alternate forms is always glitchy, and that's coming from someone who got an alien mermaid hybrid through actual gameplay. There's one thing you should know: Changing between forms is always done in specific steps. If you're a mermaid alien in alien form, going swimming will instead make your sim swim in human form. A mermaid alien swimming in mermaid form will revert to a normal human disguise if you try and force them to take their disguise off. A mermaid werewolf going swimming in werewolf form should most likely revert to human form according to those rules.
I feel like the game can't properly switch to mermaid form if you're already in a different occult form. The first swim you were in alien form. The next time you were in werewolf form. I can only think it's because the switches are basically "occult form: yes / no" so it just swaps back and forth when you do something that toggles a swap.
Without mods I once had a human but vampire trained Sim child. He had all the vampire abilities but a human appetite.no blood needed or sun damage. I never got that lucky again 😕
vampires and spellcasters together work fine. Same with aliens, but mixing vampires and aliens messes up CAS already. Mermaids are fine, the only problem is the tail. I wasn't testing this with werewolves (yet), but I'm disappointed to see these bugs. My sim is supposed to be an experiment of mixing all possible occults, so it kinda sucks. U_U
The werewolf and mermaid doesn’t glitch the werewolf form. But adding vampire spell caster does I don’t know if wolf alien and mermaid would leave werewolf form alright.
Of course she wasn't green in her disguise lol, that would be her normal form as an alien. I'd love to see a video on mods that improve hybrid compatibility.
You can get a hybrid in base game because I actually made a vampire and spellcaster hybrid when I was playing with genetics with a female vampire first and then a male spellcaster afterwards in cas
I get the same werewolf ear glitch whenever I try to turn any of my sims into werewolves. For me the glitch also carried over to their human form as well and even after taking the werewolf cure the glitch stayed and they looked like they were in their werewolf form still just with flesh instead of fur. The ears were still a mile away from the body and the eyes were on top of the ears. And this is all without any hybrids, just trying to get a werewolf the normal way. Been unable to actually create and use any werewolves in my game without them completely glitching out.

One of my vampire sims got abducted by aliens and had a vampire alien daughter, I called her Eldritch and she’s a great kid, I kinda want to make her an Spell caster once she’s a teenager but I’m not sure if that’s going to break my game, hope not, it’s an storyline that I really want to see in my game 😅

I did this by accident 🤣 I got a girl werewolf from the gallery but wanted her to be a spellcaster too. Didnt realize you couldnt do both lol. Tried to remove the werewolf trait through cheat and I broke it lmao. Like she can still do the spellcaster but shes constantly getting enraged and doing werewolf animations. and her werewolf looks just like yours in this lmao the ears and everything. Shes either that or invisible when she turns. That wouldnt be the worst but her needs panel has bugged out so I dont have half of her needs and just have to wait for them to go yellow 🤣😅
The only hybrid I was able to make so far was a vampiric spellcaster. I had to make a spellcaster then have her get pregnant by a vampire. I can’t seem to make hybrids of mermaids no matter what I try 😖

hate to be the downer but this has been tried and tested at length . the ui will favor what is done to start with as base so it matters the order you add the trait . in this it is possible to create occaults that are a mix with none of the down sides . i will let you know if someone finds a way to be rid of empty +7million for the deaths angel occult
I had a male vampire and a female spell caster have kids, the game broke!! Didn’t have the abilities of them! Had a spell carster’s crystal and the vamp movements I ended up curing them both into just spell casters

YOU SHOULD TRY: If you give the sim all the occults and then have a baby, would it pass down? Or what occult would the child get?

It’s actually pretty easy, I have a whole game full of like quadbrids, just play with genetics in cas

This is seriously fabulous! Thank you for making this video. So interesting to watch the chaos unfold as more occult types were added to this sim. I have been wondering about this for a very long time lol
I would love a mod that lets you give your Sim 2 or more Occults without it causing problems
Not sure if anyone else has this issue but after watching this video I wanted to try out making a hybrid myself, but when I shift click my sims and hit cheat sim info, not all the options are there, I only have add lifestyle... and add sim preference. Anyone know why that is happening and how I can fix it ? any help is much appreciated x
I couldn't use this cheat, either. However, I had no problems when I opened up the cheat box:
(Press the keys all at the same time without the +)
CTRL+SHIFT+C
Enable cheats:
testingcheats true
After that, for an Alien Sim type:
traits.equip_trait trait_OccultAlien
Meremaid:
traits.equip_trait trait_OccultMermaid
Vampire:
traits.equip_trait trait_OccultVampire
Werewolf:
traits.equip_trait trait_OccultWerewolf
Spellcaster is a little different:
traits.equip_trait trait_Occult_WitchOccult
And if you want to remove the traits:
traits.remove_trait trait_OccultAlien
I had lots of fun adding and subtracting traits on a sim! My Alien/Mermaid/Vampire/Werewolf/Spellcaster Hybrid was able to take care of her hydration needs by grooming herself using a werewolf perk. And then, just for fun, I added the "secret" Nightstalker Occult to her, because what could go wrong? LOL:
traits.equip_trait trait_Ghost_Curses_NightStalker_Stalker
Nightstalkers look so cool! (But they're always sad.) They're part of the curses that can happen to Spellcasters, but I've never made one "naturally" in-game.

In coding, what comes last overrides what came before it. So the Ui will change in order that they're added.
I once created a vampire spellcaster cuz his dad was a spellcaster and when he was conceived I had the on a dark line lot trati but I removed it before he was born. The icon Is spellcaster the needs are vampire the plumbob does what he wants Cas says that he is a human and he doesn't have a dark form also the unlockable abilities are spellcaster
I managed to create a werewolf vampire. Both mom and dad are vampires, mom's mom is a werewolf thought

This is a very interesting experiment nonetheless.
Though I think you forgot two more occult forms: ghost and plantsim form.
I made a mer spell caster once and he was stuck with a fin and would sometimes swim on land. I also made a spell caster vampire but because I couldn't access the vampire traits I couldn't level her up she would never be able to do all the stuff I would want a vampire to do like not burn in the sun so I cured her of vampirism to have her just be a spell caster.

I miss true hybrids like sims 3, i think if u take mermaid off and dont change into their occult form ever its probably playable. Many dont suggest mermaid even b4 werewolves because the tail etc is glitchy.

I got abducted as I was bitten by a vampire an gave birth to an alien vampire hybrid… with the first 20 minutes of gameplay.

I had an alien, and mermaid family. My sims broke so much where the kids had no tails in their mermaid forms, and then once they hit young adult their whole body disappeared. So I had roaming floating heads walking around until they took baths or went swimming. It was humorous, but also creepy. The only ones not effected were the parents. 😂🤣
The Sims 4 speedrun to get to the highest rank as a perk tree occult hybrid (No need for alien or mermaid cuz they already got their powers).
Yeah, combining 2 occults with alternate forms is always glitchy, and that's coming from someone who got an alien mermaid hybrid through actual gameplay. There's one thing you should know:
Changing between forms is always done in specific steps. If you're a mermaid alien in alien form, going swimming will instead make your sim swim in human form. A mermaid alien swimming in mermaid form will revert to a normal human disguise if you try and force them to take their disguise off. A mermaid werewolf going swimming in werewolf form should most likely revert to human form according to those rules.
I feel like the game can't properly switch to mermaid form if you're already in a different occult form.
The first swim you were in alien form. The next time you were in werewolf form.
I can only think it's because the switches are basically "occult form: yes / no" so it just swaps back and forth when you do something that toggles a swap.
Without mods I once had a human but vampire trained Sim child. He had all the vampire abilities but a human appetite.no blood needed or sun damage. I never got that lucky again 😕

vampires and spellcasters together work fine. Same with aliens, but mixing vampires and aliens messes up CAS already. Mermaids are fine, the only problem is the tail. I wasn't testing this with werewolves (yet), but I'm disappointed to see these bugs. My sim is supposed to be an experiment of mixing all possible occults, so it kinda sucks. U_U
Maybe I'll give it a shot and make Remus Lupin as both spellcaster and werewolf. Always wanted to do that!

The werewolf and mermaid doesn’t glitch the werewolf form. But adding vampire spell caster does I don’t know if wolf alien and mermaid would leave werewolf form alright.
Of course she wasn't green in her disguise lol, that would be her normal form as an alien.

You can get a hybrid in base game because I actually made a vampire and spellcaster hybrid when I was playing with genetics with a female vampire first and then a male spellcaster afterwards in cas

I get the same werewolf ear glitch whenever I try to turn any of my sims into werewolves. For me the glitch also carried over to their human form as well and even after taking the werewolf cure the glitch stayed and they looked like they were in their werewolf form still just with flesh instead of fur. The ears were still a mile away from the body and the eyes were on top of the ears. And this is all without any hybrids, just trying to get a werewolf the normal way. Been unable to actually create and use any werewolves in my game without them completely glitching out.
I have played with a sim that was hybrid (spellcaster/vampire) it’s functional and works (the parents were vampire and spellcaster)
I was literally playing the sims 4 i went to create a househould and the sims that your using abie or albie, they where the default sim i got after declining about making a sim have a story
One of my vampire sims got abducted by aliens and had a vampire alien daughter, I called her Eldritch and she’s a great kid, I kinda want to make her an Spell caster once she’s a teenager but I’m not sure if that’s going to break my game, hope not, it’s an storyline that I really want to see in my game 😅
ngl i feel cringe for it but i love occult stuff i find it so interesting and love the gameplay mechanics werewolf is definitely my favourite i love how the werewolf form and abilities tie into being a normal sim shit is fire
I did this by accident 🤣 I got a girl werewolf from the gallery but wanted her to be a spellcaster too. Didnt realize you couldnt do both lol. Tried to remove the werewolf trait through cheat and I broke it lmao. Like she can still do the spellcaster but shes constantly getting enraged and doing werewolf animations. and her werewolf looks just like yours in this lmao the ears and everything. Shes either that or invisible when she turns. That wouldnt be the worst but her needs panel has bugged out so I dont have half of her needs and just have to wait for them to go yellow 🤣😅

The only hybrid I was able to make so far was a vampiric spellcaster. I had to make a spellcaster then have her get pregnant by a vampire. I can’t seem to make hybrids of mermaids no matter what I try 😖

I don't get all those options when I shift click even with testing cheats enabled. How do I get them all? I had it when wonderful whims was installed and I see you have it too so does it have something to do with that or am I doing something wrong?

hate to be the downer but this has been tried and tested at length . the ui will favor what is done to start with as base so it matters the order you add the trait . in this it is possible to create occaults that are a mix with none of the down sides . i will let you know if someone finds a way to be rid of empty +7million for the deaths angel occult
I had a male vampire and a female spell caster have kids, the game broke!! Didn’t have the abilities of them! Had a spell carster’s crystal and the vamp movements I ended up curing them both into just spell casters
When I had a spell caster have a baby with a vampire it was born both spell caster and vampire
Actually, I'm not sure if it's possible anymore. But I did manage to get a vampire/spellcaster hybrid a couple years ago
