I saw him last night, opening for Beth Hart in Atlanta. I'd never heard of him. When he walked out, carrying only an acoustic guitar, I wasn't expecting a whole lot. But, wow, can he sing and play!
Deanna, I would highly suggest getting there early enough to see Matt perform. It was interesting how the crowd went from not paying any attention to the big guy walking out with an acoustic guitar to being totally sucked in by the last song. When he walked off at the end, everybody around us was asking, "Who WAS that?!?! What was his name?" I doubt that anybody bought a ticket because of Matt, but he put on a performance worthy of everyone's attention.
Thanks Craig, I plan to get there earlier to see him perform. I have really been looking forward to seeing Beth and until recently didn't know of Matt Andersen. This is going to be a great night!
