When I heard in 2015 that Grande Amore was third at the Festival I said: OK, so the other two songs are better. They were no better, not even far. The best song for the Eurovision Festival 2015 was and always will be "Grande Amore", defended by Il Volo. I love it❣️❣️❣️❣️

HOW BADASS IS THAT STAGE.
I'm jumping in a little late.... I discovered Il Volo when they sang on American Idol. I was about to go to the kitchen (not my type of music) but one of the boys (Ignazio) caught my eye because he looked so much like my grandson. When I was showing the video to my daughter, my 14 mo old granddaughter (who we'd been teaching some ASL) got very excited. When it was over, she signed "more". The next day, she dragged me to the computer signing "more". And every day after than for months and months. She absolutely loved Piero (glasses). She would kiss the computer screen when he came on. "Volo" was one of her first words. I have seen them in concert 3 times. (I guess it was my kind of music).and have made many wonderful friends thru a FB fan group. My granddaughter is 9 now, and I hope to take her their concert when they return to the US. I've met the guys and their parents on a couple of occasions and they are very so nice. These young men have been raised right!

"Piero Barone's Romantica" "Ginoblemania".....there are too many to list. I love them too. Saw them in Los Angeles at Microsoft Center in March 2020 right before they had to go home to Italy because of Covid. I'm SO glad I was able to see them. Let me know which group you belong to. I fell in love with these guys when they performed as guests on American Idle many years ago. They sang Ol Sole Mio and just blew me away with their talent. My favorite is Piero (the one with glasses) as he has a powerful yet natural and beautiful voice. Thanks for doing this group, they are stupendous, magnificent, rad, bad and every other adjective you used to describe them.

There’s not a song these kids can’t sing. They are young...met on a talent show when they were around 14. Now, they are a sensation! In their early twenties with mature voices that harmonize perfectly. I hope the world doesn’t destroy their innocence.
IL VOLO - and they should’ve won hands down. It seemed rigged to me but could be because the winning song was about being a hero in this global-thought world, which has nothing to do with love, which is what this magnificent song is all about. Bravo Il Volo for one of the best songs to ever come out of Italy. A great composition and superb performance!

Flawless performance, you can feel the build up to the chorus. You put on a performance like that and STILL don't win Eurovision, honestly what more do you have to do?
I love the Eurovision Song Contest and am counting down the days until the 2019 contest next month and in the history of Eurovision this is one of the best songs ever performed (if not the best) at Eurovision.
Guess you know by now that they didn't make it to #Eurovision2019, amid much controversy in the #Sanremo2019 judging. They should have won. Rules have changed for next year when only fans can vote. They didn't win #Eurovision2015, either amid more judging controversy even though they won the fan vote. That's OK. We remember who they are. Can you name the winners who "beat" Il Volo? Probably not.

Sooooo......do these ragazzii throw down or what? They are over the top!! They've been singing together for 10 years. Only Italian artists to have ever been signed to an American contract: Geffen/Sony. They are currently in the middle of their #MusicaTour2019 to celebrate their 10 year anniversary. Oh....and they are the ripe old ages of 24 and 25 now. Loved watching your expressions while you were listening.

These young men have come a long way. The pronunciation of the group's name is "ill" Volo. In English, it means "The Flight". They started off as young teenagers and you can see some of their earlier stuff on CZcams.
I love their performance on the American Idol results show in 2011. The contestants' faces watching them were a picture. Their jaws were on the floor.
Not to mention how much Ignacio (in the middle) has changed from the chubby little boy he was then in just four years.

There was an Asian contest called SUPER VOCAL. It was around 2019 and do check out their version. This trio here I found just a couple of weeks ago. FORTE is another good trio. Also liked a singer on BRITAIN"S GOT TALENT about 2 months ago MAXWELL THORPE. He has a nice operatic voice. The contest also had another great singer TOM BALL. Even though he sang in English he has a big range. Just looking now for more video of IL VOLO. There are ones of two men RICHARD and ADAM both operatic singers from a contest.

When I first heard this song grande amore I didn't know who IL volo is I found these guys on a video that sead Eurovision songs that should win that years Eurovision since then I know how to sing like 6 of there song (and I'm Polish)
I don't remember the first time I saw Il vollo I just remember they were practically babies back then. I think the oldest was nineteen and they came out and started singing and I was blown away! I downloaded their album and I listen to it to relax now.

"Il Volo" - in Italian "IL" is the definite article so you would say "THE Volo" in English

Great choice, terrific song by three great entertainers. If you want to delve into crossover music you should listen to Amira Willighagen sing Gabriellas Song. She is only 14 years old at this performance. The song is the theme song of a hit Swedish movie"As It Is In Heaven". She sings it in the original Swedish tho she doesn't speak it. She won Holland's Got Talent in 2013 at the age of nine when she had taught herself to sing an opera aria by watch I g professional opera singers on you tube. She is and incredibly emotional singer with an unusually rich and complex voice. Give a listen, you will be surprised. You need to listen to her performance with a set of good headphones to hear all of the beautiful tones in her voice. Computer speakers just can't handle it.

I noticed you did your famous head scratch several times, but I have to say that cramming words into a ballad without keeping the words in tune makes a song sounds like shit. They had harmony, but the words don't match the music.
