Great info. I have a house that had 5 rafter tails broken off from a tree falling during a tornado. Just had the whole roof and metal trim installed last year. I'm going to open the ceiling inside on this one to avoid having to tear off that new roof and install new tails. Hopefully can keep the repairs up top to a minimum. Your instructions are clear.

Almost no one that is repairing rafter tails in Boston is willing to pay to open the roof. Good work though
