- Welcome to the big test of technical possibilities of binaural microphone 3Dio Free Space Pro in ASMR style. Presenting the possibility of a microphone, as well as comparing to the sound of: camera, zoom H4n, and two additional shotgun microphones.
I test by tapping, scratching and squeezing in hand the same object. I set different values recording level for 30%, 45%, 80% and 100%!

I think it would be a cool idea to test the different levels on the 3d mic with different distances. Like close up whispering/ talking and far away talking across the room :) nice video!
Besides the pleasant stereo effect that the 3Dio offers, it also captures sound exceptionally well from every direction, near or far. It is crystal clear and doesn't give an "out of range" tonal sweep when you move around, preserving the integrity of your voice as best as I can tell. It's definitely my favourite from those you showed.
You know, during the 100% volume part, your voice is great, the only bad thing with the full volume would be ambient noises.

I also make ASMR videos, under a different name, but I really don't like the sound of the 3dio. I think the frequency response is poor. I think that most of the price is for the stand, but the mics themselves are substandard. I'd rather listen to quality stereo or homemade binaural than the 3dio. Just one persons opinion, but the 3dio flattens the warmth of the sounds, and affects the way I trigger. Just one man's opinion.
Oh, and Sensor, you are the man bro, keep up the good work!

i have the 3dio and the zoom h4n. im trying to set it up and im struggling as when my zo h4n is set to stereo no sound comes out as it does with my binaural rode nti a mics. though when i set it to 4ch it works. is this the correct chan for the zoom h4n and 3dio combo? thankyou!

You shouldn't be using the Zoom 4Hn that close to your mouth without a windjammer.
