MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND ALL OF US!
I've independently researched the origins of "A Christmas Carol" for almost 15 years, and I've concluded that Charles Dickens wasn't the original author. Rather, it was written by Mathew and Abby Whittier, an obscure American couple. Dickens hurriedly commercialized it within six weeks for some much-needed cash.
This christmas day is to reflect and this kind of story teach us how to be more kind and generous. Thanks for sharing, it was so good I enjoyed a lot.
I've read this story not once, and know it too well! But in your rendering it with these wonderful bits of acting Dickens' Carol has really made my eyes wet . Thank you so much. But maybe it's also my age which let me understand the spirit of the narrative deeper than I managed to do in my younger years.
And I've decided to add something else. I probably was so much emotional while listening to the story because of the beautiful English it was written in and beautiful rendition of yours.

I already read some easy made stories from Charles Dickens. I loved them all. But this story is special and many memories of my childhood come over me. My Grandparents and my parents were alive. My father played always the fiddle for the children to come in. The story makes me sad and happy. Thanks for telling it again.
Philippines si super Catholic and church is crowded each Sunday and Christmas starts in September and a lot of fun.
I didn't know this story is this moving and heartwarming.
I studied his works helped people at the time(industrial revolution)to have respect the poor and to help them.
It's absolutely one of the best masterpieces in the world and in the entire history.

I was moved, because I live in Japan and here workers don't have the habit of valuing Christmas Day, and consequently no one has time off, unfortunately I already I had to work on some of those days, the culture treats it as a normal day like any other day...

I've got this book, but I never came round to read it, because of old-fashion English, it was difficult for me to read through it. But for now I've got acquainted with this amazing story and in the end of your reading my eyes got wet... I read ChD's book "Oliver Twist" in Russian, when I was I child, and it was one of my favorite books.
