you can try learning it heelside first, then you can move on hitting with your left hand. Whatever makes it easier for you to learn.

So when I do finger whips I'm having trouble getting my front foot on I can get my back foot on consitantly but I can never get the front foot on any tips?

It’s probably cause your lounging for for your deck you just need to hit the deck a little harder or get a little more air

Follow your back foot, after you whip you need to tuck your front foot and put it right next to the other foot
