Met jack randomly today in a store in FLL! Super nice guy who took a photo with my star struck kids - we were in there picking up boat parts (of all things) before we head back to our own boat in the Bahamas. Watching Zatara inspired us to sell up earlier this year and sail with our 3 kids round the world on a leopard 46. Kinda cool to meet one of the originals ;)
Wow, has Keith actually turned into a sailor? Multiple sail changes, doing a maneuver without the engine, I'm impressed! Nice slice of life video, Renée!
What make these episodes really cool is the fact there is no background music and you can really hear the noises from the sailing.

I enjoy your episodes. I am a 70-year-old man and don't get around much, I never find any of your episodes dull at all. I watch at least 6 to 10 episodes daily to catch up on them all. Keep up the good work. The hour-long raw episode was great, I enjoyed all the sounds while sailing thanks again for the entertainment.

What a wonderful episode! It's actually lovely to watch unfiltered footage. Whilst Finn (I think it was) suggested we are watching the same stuff over and over again, it is in it's own way different every time. Love it!
Its great to see a raw video because it shows more of totality of whats going on but Renee's edited videos are top notch. She captures the character of everyone and everything which is why this channel and this family is so awesome. I'm 54 with a son and daughter both in their 30's and my hat goes off to Keith and Renee for both being incredible parents that have raised amazing kids and just great people
In my opinion I like the unedited version better then the edited version. More content the better.

I just subscribed to your channel, for a couple of reasons...first I love sailing..and love the ocean. Spent 6 yrs in the U.S. Coast Guard, 4 and 1/2 of which were at sea. I did 3 tours in Vietnam from Jan 68, to Aug of 70, and was a PBR river boat captain, as a 2nd class Petty officer. Went to Vietnam on board a ship, from NY, down to Gitmo, for underway training, the to Vietnam, thru the panama canal, out to Hawaii, and finally to South China Sea. Was transferred off the ship to River boat duty, after 3 days off the coast of Vietnam...that's my background...the second reason I subscribe to your channel is you're sailing the predecessor, to the boat I just love...Privelege 580. For 2023 Privelege increased the prices, but also added some things, that would otherwise be optional, such as an inner staysail, as well as making the Code 0 standard equipment. It would take me winning the lottery, to afford a privelege, or any bluewater boat for that matter, although I've done some sailboat racing with a 19ft dinghy. I do have a question for you, with your experience. With the new Privelege 580 or even the 510, both having the inner staysail, would it be possible to have the Genoa out, even if reefed a little, and put the inner staysail out as well, then sail the boat like a cutter rig in heavier winds?? (main, genoa, and staysail all out)
There are so many sailing channels now. But Zatara is my fave! Watched you guys from the beginning.

Just watched Luke’s video, great video. Keith, you should unplug all electronics and have these kids forget about all the fancy smanshi’s and have them really sail for 1000nm +. No auto pilot, no electronics, heck, no compass, sail by the stars and the seat of their pants. THAT, would be some great content. But all your content has been epic since the first Zatara video. Thanks to your wonderful wife who has given us a epic front seat of your voyages. Ps. Keith, you keep up with an awesome Cat. you have always given Zatara the best. Code "Z", dependenting your WX strategic planning. Come up in the lulls and off in puffs and gusts,VMG mini. When furing tight luff tensions and more eased luff dependent on angles. Chasing Genoa and Code sail back and forth is much more work, although fun to pull off smooth fast tactical changes.

The reality of Sailing and doing a 2+ day crossing often requires many sail changes to be able to efficiently keep heading forward and saving diesel. It is nice to see the reality every so often. 🥰
