A Cowboy on Skis wins the world famous Holmenkollen cross-country ski race. Amazing footage.

Now it can be told, They have been trying to hide this historically significant amazing event. We, here at Franklin Clay Films, were lucky and found some nearly destroyed film -- and we were able to partially restore it. Now everyone can see an event covered up by the powers that be for about 70 years.This is a real scoop!.
Some of the skiers shown are Sixten Jernberg from Sweden and Veikko Hakulinen from Finland. There is also a racer from Russia. It all takes place at Holmenkollen in Oslo Norway where world-level skiers compete in ski jumping and cross-country ski racing. This annual event is held by the Norwegian Skiforenigen. The Scandinavian athletes shown here have also won world championships and gold in winter Olympics.
A few of the people who were key to the completion of this project were Arne Harsheim, Grethe Mehus, Grethe Harsheim, and Rick Eliot. Another project that was completed about the same time was a 40 minute, 2-part, training film titled The Fundamentals of Cross-Country Ski Racing.
