- Is this the new era of the 2JZ?! Here we have the FIRST real world test of the new Dart 2JZ block. Real Street Performance paired the dart 2JZ with a BC 96mm crank making it a 3.5L Displacement, slapped on the new precision 8685 next gen turbo and pushed it to 1821HP. These are some incredible results for the 2JZ community and in our opinion things are looking bright for the 2JZ Dart combination to provide enthusiasts a good long term aftermarket option to continue to modify the platform for years to come.

I'm watching all these dart 2jz videos like I can afford them looool
I have an idea, let’s rob a bank.
Same. I would love to have a supra one day. And I don't want nothing crazy, like a five hundred horsepower and a seven hundred horsepower tune. Super cool custom, dark green with light gold flake, brown interior.
We all do the same
Well.. They are cheaper than billet and by alot.. So its a real temptation when they put out videos like this 😬
Like I even have a 2J 😂
I'm glad companies these days realize the best growth potential is knowledge sharing! This creates competition which further advances our knowledge and advancement! Gatekeeping is out!
Couldn't agree more!
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that he just came into Harry's and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS, and a Motec system exhaust.

Thank God someone finally tested at least one of these next gens!
The next gen stuff is badass! We have the 8085 next gen on our 3.2L rb30 r32, love it but we’re likely moving to this 8685 soon

Absolutely Wicked...just imagine...😂
Is crazy how far people have pushed the original block design. Now, with the same principal, they are building after market iron block along with billet versions. 30+ year old design that with small improvements makes crazy power.
That's wild 😜
That block is a game changer
💯
DAMN!!!! Imagine if Toyota offered this setup from the factory!!!!
2jz was legendary now it’s from another galaxy. I can hear the haters already.,…….”it’s nothing 2jz about this block except the name, our favorite engine just caught up and this isn’t fair!!!”
czcams.com/video/eNBbEyog1AU/video.html
lol the stock crank can't provide adequate rod oiling at this power level. The direct oiling cranks are AMAZING.
This is aftermarket casting. Id expect a bit more performance from the aftermarket cast, 1800 is cool but ive seen factory cast barras at 2000+. Why pay big bucks for an aftermarket 2J when you can buy a barra block for like $500 lol. Coyotes are where its at now anyway, Snot Rocket is the fastest street car around and also a factory cast.
@@uraniumcranium2613 go buy a Barra block. The world will by 2jz. Go to barra video and rave about ford trying to one up what Japan mastered in the late 80’s and early 90’s.
I never thought "danger to manifold" was real

This is not a 2jz... This is a better replica.
Not when there is Coyotes on the prowl

OEM style HG is surprising.
Looking promising for an awesome street setup!
4200 vortec need some love 👀
M104 too.
Barra. Factory cast blocks and heads are good for 2000+ imagine what a bit more aftermarket support could achieve. Some doing 7s with a stock crank too, as seen on Fullboost channel.
Aluminum is cool,,, but IRON is BITHCHIN' 😉
Will there be packages set up so there’s a “click and done” option for the new block?
Definitely
Holy shit...😵
Where is Jay🙁

Amazing! I will be buying one of these Dart 2JZ blocks in a few months!!!!
The want is real!
2jz is still the god’s powertrain in 2024
2jz 💪😎
As long as they can make it not explode every third pass!
But it will
35+ runs over 1500hp during testing, thats a great start if you ask us
100lbs of exhaust pressure wtf! 😮
The ratio at 8,300rpm on the 69.5psi pull was about 1.6:1 (111+psi).
The reality is that the 85mm turbine wheel has never been asked to deal with this amount of exhaust flow. The wheel, platform, etc, are only so large so honestly it simply supporting this type of power is incredible.
Historically, this sort of power took something inches larger in each direction on just the footprint aspect.
Then the fact that the wheels are so small (it spools up so quickly) is just a game changer.
What fuel was used on this dyno session? What compression is the motor? What was the Crank Case pressure? Was there any vacuum being pulled on the crankcase?
One ethanol R fuel
10:1 compression pistons
Peak crank case pressure at last pull was 101.4 kpa
No vacuum was being pulled on engine.
Hope this helps :)
It doew great results guys, hope you sell tons of them
@@joliroger4 thanks! We’re gonna keep pushing. Next up, bigger turbo!
@@SPTuning I feel like Dart should put at least one -16 vent port on the block. I think it will make a big difference in the crank case. It can always be plugged if not needed.
21.67hp/psi that’s pretty damn cool on a cast block
Sure is!
this thing makes 1000hp more than the most powerful car I've ever built. jesus.
Wild times haha
I want to see a billet 100mm crank does to that block
I think the cooling system in the oem is better
80lb of boost with oem head gasket 😊
History in the making for I.C.E. people
This is still relatively low boost and a small turbo compared to the top setups in the drag racing scene. Best e.t is 5.54 @263.
why is Jay not involved with this deal?
1200ft/lb damn. Gone are the days that only V8 make torque 😊
Would be nice to see these blocks become more and more affordable
How much are they priced at?
lol what are you talking about? They ARE affordable

Jimmy supra 2200ch 😉
2JZ IS THE SHIT
💯‼️
I'll need to sell my whole car just to afford this motor
How much torque?
Not hating but the RS1600 package from real street from 8 years ago was a 3.0 with an 86mm and it made 1851hp. Turn it up boys don’t be scuuuuurrrrrrrd!
That one back then had a promod turbo on it. We will put a bigger turbo on this engine in an upcoming video but we wanted to see what the new 8685 next gen turbo would do first. This is a pretty righteous combo. Now we can do weird stuff 😂
I thought the GTX5518r was just a standard 88mm. Would be really cool to over lay the two graphs to see how much area under the curve the 3.5 / 86 next gen is making compared to the 3.0 with the 88 promod. Bet it’s a huge difference…
@@campbelnGT55 based is a big difference. 88 does not equal 88
So I can help explain the difference. Not all 1,800hps are created equally.
Horsepower is simply a function of torque occurring at a given rpm.
1,000tq @ 5,000rpm is 952hp, however that same 1,000tq @ 7,900rpm is 1,504hp.
More to the point, that last engine made its peak by stretching out to 9,000rpm. We were bandaiding the OEM crank’s shortcomings with a dry sump oiling system.
This engine made over 100tq more than the last, made it earlier, and did it all with a factory oil pump, pickup, and pan.
czcams.com/video/eNBbEyog1AU/video.html
I’ll never be able to afford one, but damn I want one! I’d slap this in my wife’s all stock straight 6 63 nova and give her a killer sleeper.
Imagine a 4g63 dart block or a rb
Our partners at platinum racing products will be releasing their cast RB block soon 👀
I'm surprised BC isn't confident in their largest stroker crank (96mm) making huge torque... isn't that exactly why one would purchase a very large stroke crank?
They are very confident and so are we. It made huge torque and that’s bringing the boost in slow. What he was explaining is that this crank is their lightweight version. We all know the benefits of that but the downside is When you remove material you remove strength. This is the most we have pushed the lightweight version of their crank so far.
Geo @ Real Street
Engines a cooler when ypu can squeeze more power on a mostly stock top and bottom end most engines fully built will produce more hp by default
I agree with you, we went 6s on a factory 2JZ with water (no cement) and stock size head studs. It was not durable at all and honestly dangerous but we did it. I would say What’s cooler is an engine that lives.
Geo @ Real Street
Standard block do same with those parts?
Not for long time
Yes, but this will more durable. The block was designed to handle this power.
This particular test wasn’t to test how much the Dart can handle although it’s already proving to be the solution that was advertised, this test was to see how the Next Gen 8685 performed. We plan to put a bigger turbo and keep pushing the block.
Geo @ Real Street
@@Geo4G63 how about test on a standard block do a back2back test, now that would be real world?, please
Why do u need dry sump for 8400+rpm. I rev 8500-8700 without it about 6 years. But i do refresh motor once in two years
It’s not need or that you can’t it’s that you should. In a Motorsports application You should have a dry sump for 8400 for the same reason you should have one at 7500 or 10,000. We have gone over 10K on the stock oiling system but that doesn’t mean we should or recommend it. I agree there are enough examples of them going over but 8400 was our limit for this combination.
As to why no dry sump on this combo it’s because we are trying to mimic what the majority of our customers run and even though many would benefit from a dry sump most don’t run them. At some point we will though.

Is this on pump fuel? If it's not none of these numbers matter
Whole lot of boost for not a lot of power
why non vvti
It's better for high power.
@@tiagoabreu4107 im looking for a technical answer. i’m not real st, but afaik vvti is a net positive for power (primarily power band). so why are they not using it? is there some technical reason that idk bc again im not real st
Honestly because I was duplicating the most common combination (wet sump, stock size head stud, standard gasket, gte head, non VVTi.)
My last two personal engines have both been VVTi stroker engines (the first 94mm with GTE, the second 96mm with GE.)
We will be trying to test all of the different combinations that we can! Keep the suggestions coming.
I wanna see 100 pounds of boost. And 5 pounds of Nitrous!
😂😂 Its funny hearing 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder guys talk about large displacement😂
Size is relative, so i don't see what's funny about it
@@sepg5084 Size is everything. Bigger means more torque and horsepower period. Especially N/A. Boosted applications means less boost and timing for more power easily which means less wear and tear on the engine which means longevity. It's been proven for 80 years bruh
Why not just sleeve the block with everything you have already did to it
The factory block begins to distort at these power levels. Before the iron eagle block came out, we used billet aluminum blocks with sleeves. But now Dart made an iron block with more material where it matters to prevent the distortion, eliminating the need for aftermarket sleeves
im not udrestand why you so happy for so laggy spool and so small range, your power is only on a pick of you dyno-graph
Honda parts lol
Useless, people want to see that 3000HP mark FFS, There are plenty of 2000hp plus plus 2Js around, start pushing the block and not the parts FFS There are just over a handful of 2800hp 2j's either filled or billet, the dart block is meant to be rock solid too!
