- This gameplay tutorial for Mechwarrior Online shows you how to utilize your Mech to it's best extent. I'll give you a rundown of the build and what it is made for and show you the actual combat role in two games on the battlefield.
Mechwarrior Online is a competitive first person shooter where you build and pilot massive Mechs and prove yourself on the battlefield. The game is based on the Battletech franchise, which originally was a science fiction tabletop game in the 80s. Big part of the game is configuring your loadout and find the best match of missile, ballistic and energy weapons for your playstyle. The weapon variety ranges from devastating autocannons over particle projectors to deadly arrays of laser beams. On the battlefield your team of 12 Mechwarriors fight the enemies on rather small arena-type maps. Teamwork is crucial here because a single Mech does not survive long if it steps in front a full firing line. Communication and teamwork is key on your journey to glory and victory.

#Mechs #Mechwarrior #Shooter - Hry
See Yuri, when you take axe, enemy will think you melee. But you no melee, you sneeky. You bring kalashnikov. They will never expect!
man this gave me quite a chuckle xD.
The saddest combination of words when talking about a Hatchetman: "cosmetic hatchet."
It just ain't right. :(
Meanwhile the Centurion gets a 100 armor shield XD
Maybe the hatchetman can kick really hard on a hot summer.
I'd much prefer it if they modeled it with the arm lowered. Or the hatchet slung over the shoulder.
Is nobody gonna talk about how at 17:10 Baradul's mech disassembled like a Lego figure???
I made a stealth hatchet man 6D once, Moved fast, moved silently, and the RAC tore up enemies before they could fight back, And with the heating, I'd often cool off faster than the gun could heat up when I ramped down for a bit. Thing was hilariously fun stealth.
Annoying Light Mech killed you second game, so good shout-out to them in the first game.
AH! I was hoping you would find this lovely Hatchetman! It's a great mid-line mech. Gotta keep on the move though (as you explained and showed); focused fire takes it down quickly. But that rapid fire RAC... so good when you can just drill into someone.
If you're going to pay money for the Hatchetman then buy it for the hardpoints and not for the cosmetic hatchet, unless you really like hatchets, because the Crytek Cryengine Game Engine literally can not do melee, or knockdowns and getting back up for that matter. MechWarrior 5 does have a more modern version of the Crytek Game Engine which is why you can do melee in MW5.
I payed money for the preorder. Though when it first released it wasnt super good. Now its much better.
@@harumaronnet1709 Yeah, I was still playing MWO when the Hatchetman went on sale and a lot of people who preordered were pretty mad about the Hatchetman having only a cosmetic hatchet even though I believe PGI said it would only ever be cosmetic. At any rate, glad PGI eventually fixed the Hatchetman enough through Quirks to not make buying the pack seem like a scam/ripoff.
I think it would be hilarious to see what would happen to the MWO meta if melee attacks were added tot he game.
gon see a lot less light mechs hugging my assault thats for sure.
The game engine would sh*t hamsters and die. =D
Not a lot
Thanks for answering my call.
They really really need to add melee to the game, a Hatchman is nothing without its Hatch.
If they did it would be useless
@@harumaronnet1709no it wouldn’t. It would help against face hugging lights and add another option for dealing damage up close
Weehaw pardner here we go!!!
Weehaw indeed
Weehaw? Yeehaw.
The Brewer, first game got some timely kills. (3). Not a lot of damage, but finished foes.
How about CASE on the free RT slot? It’s free on weight and once RA goes off you definitely don’t want an ammo explosion…
XL engine makes it useless
@@soferlord good point. There’s a spare slot so it can be added with no impact if the build takes an LFE. For an XL build I would just put all ammo in legs
The hatchetman has the best war horn ever
Love that RAC in the view of the cockpit!
Eat lead!!!!!!!Hahahaha!!!!
I still question the wisdom of adding a melee-focused mech to a game that has no melee
It used to.... sadly some head dev got angy cuz players bullied him with it and removed it.
Jenner rammed mechs by being a dick
@@EleonMythos MWO never had melee, not even back when the game still had a PTS server. I'm not saying you're lying but the game engine MWO runs on doesn't have the code to support melee attacks. I would not be surprised if PGI did an in-house test session with MWO assets on the MW5 game engine and some dev or devs from Microsoft could have gotten ganged up on which is why Microsoft decided not to not pay the money to upgrade the MWO game engine to do melee. Otherwise adding melee would be a good reason to make an MWO2, that is if Crytek is willing to sell the game engine upgrade for a more reasonable amount that Microsoft would be willing to pay. Otherwise barring some miracle, it's not going to happen on MWO.
@EleonMythos it wasnt even that. Mwo cant support melee
@@EleonMythosalso, it made sense to add it cause it was already in mw5
Shame the axe don't work, but nice shooooting!!
but whyyyy cant it punch!?!?
I hate how close the ballistic hardpoint is to the cockpit on this mech... Depending on which way you're moving the flash really gets in the way.
Looks like the barrel is actually clipping through the cockpit. It’s so distracting and immersion breaking.
I like it that high
Tyftv!
Personally if you are going to put a Hatchetman in a mechwarrior game It Needs To Be Able To Melee!!!
I mean MW5's Hatchetman can so why not MWO?
I don't care if it can only be done at point blank range or if it's suicide to try to get that close to someone it just needs to be able to do it
Mwo cant support it. Also, this has been talked about for years. Its time to stop, it isnt coming.
@@harumaronnet1709never stop. Keep up the pressure! Melee and mech knockdown are needed
I thought that laser fist 'Mech you demonstrated a few episodes back was the ugliest that I'd seen so far, but this one takes the cake.
Oh, well. They can't all be as good looking as the Supernova.
What do you think is the most beautiful 'Mech in this game?
Huntsman and assassin
Those are some good-looking 'Mechs. The Huntsman in particular looks like it takes some interesting design cues from other mech franchises.
timber wolf mad dog and raven
You like how the Supernova looks? Interesting.
I don't think I would describe any mech as "beautiful," but "appealing" certainly. The Enforcer, the Warhammer (and the IIC), the Roughneck, those are good.
The modern Prometheus known as the Corsair is great in its own right with all the little details thrown in on it.
The MWO Catapult is my favorite. Marauder and Archer for second and then the classic Warhammer.
With that big hatchet let's skip the ecm.
А нахрена ему топор??)))
Erster? Echt?!?
and again only players who don't sit on server get suffer from heat , others just don't care about heat (extremly great ballance in game , just like those s..strange mechanic of firing gauss , long time ego top players say we need charge/discharge mechanic for gauss cause too many exploiters , and ... top players using macros to AVOID this ballance thing , rest must suffer.)
Wth are you even talking about?
You hust have to wait 0,5 seconds to not run ghost heat...
You need a macro for that?
You need a macro to keep gauss charged?
Stop whinning and go get good at the game. Cmon.
@@EleonMythos lol good at what , exploiting , using aimbot for gauss or rising firerate and avoid heat by apps , its what you call "get good at the game" , PGI keep ignoring alllll kind of cheaters and already 2 game mode is dead (solaris and faction play if you don't clue what happening in game , cause i think you too pro for this) third i think be event queue (same overfloved with all kind of cheaters and fun earning is difficult, but if you love shame , pain and humilation - offcourse you like this.
@@EleonMythos i see you tottaly don't clue what goin on , or just another fat troll , anyway , when someone shoot and aim manualy its take time and PING can change result ,not matter want you or not , ping 200 -0.2 its 1/3 of charge cicle gauss = 1/3 time you can't manualy handle with this process , not aim and shoot just charge/discharge (but legions of "snipers" have ping 300+), same for heat , exm. you have 3 (its rare , often exploiters use 6-8 and even 10 lasers) , 0.33 s. its time when you need ,how you say "get good to the game" and 2/3 -0.2 of this time you can't do anything. (but FP veterans and CW champs even with pin 400+ running without heat dmg and shoot more then 6 lasers and light ppc). "Macros is not cheat untill it not change game mechanics and you start it manualy" (c)

what an absolutely useless rant. If you want to be heard at least try to make your text readable.
Either way commenting here on YT wont change anything.
