Now that we're back in a Tiger tank we can wrap up the first mini-campaign to the Tales of Valor expansion. And not just any tank, but the same Tiger I we faced off against in the 14th mission of the Invasion of Normandy campaign as well. It not only is more overpowered than the Ace tank used in the first mission, but you're given a standard Vet. 3 Tiger tank for backup as well. While that might make this mission seem like a cake walk, don't underestimate how easy it is to fail on expert mode. PIAT Sappers, AT emplacements, and Sherman Fireflies will be your greatest concern. On top of that, I was stuck with the bug where I cannot switch to HE rounds so that means you could have this issue as well.
Simply push down the road and alternate between tanks. While I made a point to not let this happen, the Tiger backup is expendable while the Ace is not. If the Ace dies, you instantly lose. Just like the two previous missions, follow the paths I take and take direct control of the Ace's canon for better target acquisition. Each ability taken and used is very self-explanatory so use them accordingly. Clear out the emplacements and defenses so the Panzer Grenadiers can capture the four victory points.
One thing to make note of is the last one your allies begin to capture will be bombarded with artillery to delay this mission. I find it much easier to defend the territory on the right side of the map with an open area to capitalize on the Ace's long firing range. Overall, a very straightforward mission that's very easy to complete should you play it safe. I hope you enjoyed this short story of the Tiger Ace crew and I'll see you next time on the Causeway campaign. Enjoy!
This campaign was the one that really solidified my love not just for COH but strategy as a genre. And that Omaha mission like what an opener
Absolutely insane how fast the Black Baron can fire. Still, it was a fun and exciting mini dlc. Eager to see the other two now.
Perfection. You played the Tiger Ace crew to their best and put on another great show. Bravo, Star.
Awesome, moving on to causeway campaign
Splendid job with this one. Even though the game glitched you still held up just fine. Can't wait for more.
Awesome job completing the first Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor campaign of “Tiger Ace” Mr. Marshal!😁👍🏻 Oh, and did you know that Technical Sergeant Schultz was that German Tiger Ace who was promoted to Captain that showed up in the first American campaign of Company of Heroes 1 that killed American Captain McKay and was killed by the American forces who avenged their fallen captain?!😃
Yes, I do recall that little detail. Very perceptive of you to notice!
That reload speed though. You'd practically melt the barrel at such a high fire rate.
well thats interesting, nice way they tied this in with the main campaign, also its a fun change of pace to be focused around a smaller, more conrolled gorup..AKA..the tank crew :D
Yes, it certainly is an interesting change of pace. They were definitely trying to branch out and do something new with the formula.
I loved that campaign but the Germans and the panzer division
Hi Star Marshal. Congratulations on completing the Tiger Ace campaign 100%. I have a question. When will you start the Causeway campaign in Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor?
Tomorrow
@@StarMarshal Thanks for the answer. One more question. Will you finish the game in the coming week ? I mean "Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor" . I am asking because you have two campaigns left to 100%.
@@adriansmutek3045 I'm going to keep releasing daily episodes. So if all goes according to plan I'll be done by Nov 23rd.
@@StarMarshal Thanks for the satisfactory answer. I will b waiting for episodes from the campaigns "Causeway" and "Battle of the Falaise" from Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor.
I know tank aces are the best, but that kind of machine gun 88mm could win any war😂
Yeah, the devs just wanted to have fun with it. I honestly thought it was a bug at first.
Fantastic job with this one. Really showed the power of the Tiger tank here.
*whistles* Finishing this up in less than 15 minutes with only AP rounds... must admit, you just unintentionally accomplished a self-imposed challenge there, SM. Bravo!
2:20: "Secure t..." what?!
5:36: Oh no, it's now fully upgraded.
On second thought, the faster RoF really turns the AP rounds into light anti-armor rounds here.
11:30: That's done and over with... now, for the epilogue.
One must wonder if Shultz's Tiger was undermanned and underarmed during the American campaign, due to it being weakened.
Shutlz's tank failed because Star wasn't controlling it lol
It looks easy but actually it is not to finish it perfectly as you did!
