The Saab 29, colloquially called Flygande tunnan, is a Swedish fighter that was designed and manufactured by Saab in the 1940s. It was Sweden's second turbojet-powered combat aircraft, the first having been the Saab 21R.

The more I learn about aircraft, the more I respect SAAB’s blend of performance and practicality.. With hindsight, I think a LOT of countries made inferior choices by not acquiring SAAB export variants. This one video provided more facts about the J29 than the others I’ve watched... combined.
