This looks great for so much more than just Wordpress! Thinking ... A bunch of little graphics - like my avatar - print them onto the template and turn them into a font for use in Wordpress, yes, but also ordinary documents on your computer, or even in self-published books. I just checked and the calligraphr site says you can use them for any purpose, including commercially.
What a way to spend ten minutes! So inspiring! I’m currently creating. My first website as a newbie and I’ve watched a few of your videos so far. All of your videos are great and so helpful! Thank you!!
As well as for my blog this will be great for my card making. I’m sure it won’t be long before we can use ai to describe what we would like (ie an easily readable smooth cursive font with delicate butterfly glyphs) and have that generated for you.
Thanks for this great video. What a good service that is for creating your own fonts. And they are so conveniently added to Wordpress which is a bonus. The first thing that popped into my mind is creating the font sheet image with scanned or copied letters from mid 20th century magazines with great font design - especially decorative capitals. So rather than handwriting the letters you'd manipulate the image and add the letters with a graphics program. Not sure if this would work but if doable it'd be a convenient way to bring back some really nice typography from the age of classic print media graphic design.
Thank you for the inspiring idea, Jamie. Howe er I do have a question about Create Block Theme. I wanted to try it out to create a child theme from Spectra One but that didn‘t work well. Headers and footers on all pages are broken. I think it is because of me doing something wrong. It would be great to see a video about how to use it because it seems to offer a lot of interesting features.

That does sound strange - can you try the clone option and see if that works ?
Ok, I tried creating a child theme again with Spectra One 1.0.0 and now it works. 😊
