Trx450R Build Replacing Steering Stem Bearing and Installing New Team Alba Racing +2 Stem

- In this video we remove the old steering stem bearing and bushings, then install a new set of pivot works bearings and bushings. We also install a plus 2 inch chromoly steering stem from Team Alba Racing on our 2007 Honda trx450r trx450er.

you and I are a lot alike. everytime a part comes out, it gets cleaned, polished or repainted, along with properly torqued to factory specs when it get reinstalled. also working on my rarely used tool supply just because I like having the right tool when I need it. what paint did you use to paint the frame?
Thanks for the comment bro. The paint is this high heat aluminum cast paint from advanced it was like $20 a can
I just got this stem and on my frame where the stem and bearing kit goes in is bent a little to one side what do you think I could bend it back or am I best out of a frame
Depends on how bad it is
What size curclip is being used I just installed a pivot works bearing kit on my 08 trx450er and lost the old curclip
I don't have one handy that I could measure for u. You can look on rockymountainatv.com and check out the schematic
How does the steering stem feel i heard people say they feel kinda sloppy and cheap and does the antivibe really work, was thinking of getting one for my raptor.
Can't always listen to what other people say. Most ones I've come across that people complain about are installed incorrectly or they bought cheap bushing kits. The antivibe gives a little cushion

Part number pwssk-h08-450 that's the actual pivot works part number for the pivot bearings

What is the best way to get your circlip from being stuck mine is stuck bad
I take a think pick tool and stick the pointed end in one of the circlip holes then break it free or do like I did and wire wheel it too

#portedhead. I hate doing stearing stem bearing I reamber my fist one the clip broke and I had no Dremal I literally had to break the outer resse of the bearing in 3 pieces talk about a pain in the ass

I think they are. I'll repost a comment after I compare the part numbers from pw
They have different part numbers but I think they are the same. Most of the front end stuff is interchangeable all the way from the 86 trx 250r to the 99-14 trx400ex and the 450r
I rather have the OEM bearing, lol
I like the pivot works kits for all my machines. I plan on doing a full oem build one day tho
