IF YOU DON'T HAVE GLUE... TIE YOUR POM POM BEARD WITH THE SAME COLOUR YARN AS YOUR HAT. THEN SEW IT UP INSIDE THE HAT. It will also be more secure too. You can Use ANY YARN for this. You can use plastic bottle strips stapled into a ring so you can hang these outside, They should fair well even in the rain.

Oh my gosh. I crocheted some gnomes for Christmas. I used the styrofoam balls from Dollar Tree, crocheted around the balls, crocheted peak hats, made the beard from yarn like you, and used wooden beads for the noses. I stuffed the hats with poly fil and decorated the hats with small Christmas buttons.
    Blessings and stay safe 🤗💐

Hi Allison, thank you for your video. I recently made one and your tutorial inspired me to make a mrs gnome with a pink pompon, White hair on both sides tied in to tails from a White bundle of yarn as from a pompon tied with a piece of yarn , glu it together first in the hat with the hair glued to the head, with a pink pompon as the nose under a hat on it. It look like a muppet Christmas couple.

Alison, these are absolutely adorable. I love the way you made the pompoms, never saw the knot being made like that but I will be making them. They are actually selling these for two pounds a piece. Don't know if this will work for your siccors but try cutting tin foil over and over again. Best wishes from Belfast.

If you use toilet paper inserts think about what you were doing when you changed the tp. It can actually make you very sick for 1 to 2 weeks. It happened to me. Cut paper towel inserts instead and stay healthy.
