This was a VERY bad idea, just because they can carry a rider + saddle does NOT mean they can have people jumping on their back, because their back is very delicate and surprisingly very weak- studies have shown that when jumpers slam on the horses back after a jump their back can go numb after just ten minutes. So just please think about this and think about how this affects your horses❤ Also horses skin is actually thinner than human skin and way more sensitive too so your foot landing on his shoulder probably didn’t feel great. ( edit: also since horses are pray animals jumping onto his back where a wolf would jump probably triggered a fight or flight response which could be a contributor to he bite and kicked.)

And when you ride correctly and not slam onto the horses back and swing your feet around it does not harm the horse. ( I have been taking riding lessons even though I’ve been riding for over 4 years. I have a horse trained to get on from behind which is a jump mount but my god the padding I bought I could sleep on it it’s so thick and comfy also It’s more of a hop and slide 😂
