I now better understand what the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is and perhaps will be able to explain it to those who have had concerns about charismatics. It is the "Experience" of what we received at Baptism- what we were taught to believe occurred
at Baptism! Praise the Lord! May all the baptized pray to receive that wonderful Experience of the Love of God as His Child in sober intoxication!
Grew up Pentecostal. Moved away from it, despite powerful experiences when I was young, because of much I found suspect.

Since being baptized in the Holy Spirit, God has healed my body 6 times. Through His anointing He has healed several people through my prayers as soon as I finished praying for them. One must exercise his gift by praying for healing of others!
How do we receive baptism in the Holy Spirit? I have been trying to know. Kindly do help me. Please pray for my healing from bipolar and schizophrenia. If God's will I want to be healed amen.

Who is the Holy Spirit? The gospels CLEARLY IDENTIFY who the Holy Spirit is !!! He is the Father-Spirit, i.e. the FATHER WHO IS A SPIRIT ("God is a spirit"). NO THIRD GOD-PERSON EXISTS. We are sure that the Father (who is a spirit) - the Father-Spirit - is INSIDE Jesus, to lead Him in precise manner, this is stated numerous times by Jesus, see for ex. "The statements which I say to you I do not speak from myself, but the Father ABIDING IN ME is doing his works.". Has Jesus got SOMEONE ELSE inside Him? Negative, because nonsensical and because is also confirmed by Jesus "I am not ALONE because the Father is with me". Thus, ONLY THE FATHER IS INSIDE JESUS! This means that the HOLY SPIRIT INSIDE JESUS MUST BE THE FATHER!! Thus, "Holy Spirit" supposedly is just ANOTHER NAME for the Father-Spirit. This can be easily explained: Jesus has the "Father who is a spirit" and calls Him sometimes "FATHER" (Holy) (generally when Himself is concerned), sometimes "SPIRIT" (Holy, of God, of the Father...) when other people are concerned...
But what about the "Counselor", who is he? We found that ONLY THE FATHER is inside Jesus, therefore we are SURE that the Holy Spirit IS THE FATHER. Thus, the COUNSELOR CANNOT BE THE HOLY SPIRIT, he must be someone else, maybe a dead important person. This means that the "Counselor Chapter" has been most probably tampered with: in the chapter 14 verse 26 " " But the Counselor- whom the Father will send in my name, that one will teach you all things..." the words " , the Holy Spirit," have been simply added after "Counselor", of course in the original language ("ho hagios pneuma"?). Here we have confirmation that the Counselor is NOT the Holy Spirit, "... he will guide you in all the truth. FOR he will not [1] SPEAK from himself, but rather, whatever things he [2] HEARS he will [3] SPEAK ". In other words it's stated there that the Counselor is a good leader only because the Counselor HIMSELF is guided by the Holy Spirit, please compare that verse to the words of Jesus: "What things I [1] SPEAK, just as the Father has [2] SAID them to me, I [3] SPEAK them just so.". Thus, both the first Counselor (Jesus) and the second Counselor (?) HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THEM. I.e. the Counselor IS NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT.
We know who will eventually speak through the apostles: the "spirit of your Father" i.e. once again we find that the Holy Spirit is the Father who is a spirit. "...not ye that will speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaks through you."
Now you can understand that when Jesus was baptized the Holy Spirit SAID "...you are my beloved Son..", what is "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit", who is the Holy Spirit dealing with the Mary's pregnancy...no fantasy "lord giving life" exists.
John 16:7 " Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you." KJB I ask you, have you had a direct experience of the Holy Spirit's presence? Have you, in this reality, seen Love, Mercy, and Charity in action? Have you seen him descend as the Comforter, healing the deceiver's attempt to fracture? It will change you if you are open to the Trinity. The Holy Spirit, in the real experience, in this real world, makes everything new. That's how you will know the fruit. The Law will be written on your heart and you will experience joy.

You maintain that the Comforter FORMS A TRINITY WITH JESUS AND THE FATHER. That is NOT TRUE:
" ...no MAN knows, no, not the ANGELS in heaven or the SON, but THE FATHER ONLY KNOWS." (you see: 1. men, 2. angels, 3. Son and 4. Father but NO Comforter is there!)
(You also can see that the Comforter is NOT ALMIGHTY)
("I am not ALONE because the Father is with me"), you see, the Comforter is not there!
"The WORDS I say to you, I say not on my own but from the FATHER WHO DWELLS IN ME." you see, the Comforter is NOT WITH JESUS to help Him;
" My Father works now, so I work." the Comforter is NOT THERE WITH JESUS!
" You neither know me nor my Father." NO COMFORTER of a trinity TO KNOW!
" I and my Father are one." NO COMFORTER IS THERE
" On that day you will know that I am in my Father, you are in me, and I am in you." NO COMFORTER IS THERE WITH the FATHER the SON and the apostles;
"those who will BELIEVE in me through their word so that they all may be one, as you, FATHER, are in ME, and I in YOU. THEY also may be one in US..." NO COMFORTER IS WITH THE FATHER, THE SON and the believers;
"...I have not yet ascended to my Father." THE COMFORTER IS NOT THERE waiting;
"Yet, I am not ALONE, but I and the Father who sent me are one." THE COMFORTER IS NOT THERE WITH FATHER AND SON
"I am in the FATHER and the FATHER IN ME" THE COMFORTER IS NOT THERE with Them..
and so on....
ONLY ONE (divine) SPIRIT exists, He is the Father (the almighty God) in the form of a spirit ("God is a spirit").
You need to study the church fathers who fought the early heretics. Arianism, etc. Irenaeus. Against heresies is a good place for you to start. Maybe your heart is in the right place or not. But for sure, at least according to the great doctors of the church, you are wrong, it's a great error to reject them. Good luck.

You trusted the church, but then - when you check it out - you see that it was a bad choice. With arrogance or with stupidity they didn't give a damn about what Jesus Christ stated in the gospels, they preferred to create their own cult to their liking, which is very different from what Jesus CLEARLY said. Does Jesus actually say in the gospels that He is part of a trinity ? Absolutely NOT, you can easily check it out: in the four gospels Jesus says and reiterates in all possible different ways that He is ONLY WITH THE FATHER! Crystal clear, no doubt: Jesus confirms that - when they will die - apostles, believers - and so on - will be WITH FATHER AND SON, PERIOD. Jesus' word must be ACCEPTED as an immovable staple without "maybe" "but" "if" !!!
The Jesus' statements are INCOMPATIBLE with the existence of a trinity: the alleged third divine person cannot be "absent, gone somewhere else" because - according to the basic characteristics of the alleged trinity - also the third person is supposed to ALWAYS BE IN A TIGHT UNION with Father and Son. On the contrary, THERE IS NO SIGN of a third person being together with Father and Son. Thus, Jesus clearly states that God is formed (with their own particular characteristics) by FATHER AND SON, PERIOD. Jesus had NO IDEA that He was supposed to be PART OF A TRINITY!
