"I have spent my whole life scared, frightened of things that could happen, might happen, might not happen, 50-years I spent like that. Finding myself awake at three in the morning. Did you guys get the joke about the "20min adventure"? Cuz the episode is 20min roughly
when he's detoxified Rick wears a seat belt and that's so wholesome
It’s hilarious how rick viewed caring about morty as something “toxic”
Irrational attachments, as he called it
I mean if you are smart enough the world seems boring.... it becomes stale and stagnant... but for Rick as he is not the top 100 nor top 5... but is the number 1 in the Multiverse and even the Omniverse... he is the single most god-like being due to his own intelligence which may or may not have been answered or hinted as being product of the Mega Seeds that could be a juice he drinks in his flask as he always drools and even does that blank I've gone brain dead look when he sucks the drool back in talking to Morty... At his level... depression would easily be common and more... dominating feeling due to that hyper or omni-intelligence.
@@eternallegacy89 "Rick, the only connection between your unquestionable intelligence and the sickness destroying your family, is that everyone in your family , you included, use intelligence to justify sickness."
The series has gone out of its way multiple times to show us that Rick isn't a victim of his own circumstances (being the smartest), but a master of his own universe. And yet he makes his and his family's life HELL. I'd redirect you to listen again to Dr. Wong's monologue in Pickle Rick. The creators were originally going to have Rick ridicule therapy, but because Dan Harmon was recently divorced and he went to therapy, he didn't want to belittle it, because it can pull people out of horrible situations that are impossible to escape otherwise. So Dr. Wong's monologue is the closest we'll get to the moral core of Rick and Morty being handed to us.
Well, from logical standpoint, it kinda is "toxic", because attachment might be a weak spot. It can be easily exploited by some evil antagonist to force Rick into doing something he wouldn't normally want to do. Lack of attachment means that you are more free and not so easily ransomed by an evil villain.
@@bonbonpony Lack of attachment is also inhumane... So.... yeah.
Inhumane as in it's something humans do LITERALLY by our nature. So rejecting attachment is inhumane
Notice when Rick got his toxins removed his skin turned white. And when he got it back inside of him, his skin turned grey again.
Good catch
Alcoholism
Hm, I have watched this a million times an never noticed. Nice!
What does it mean though? ;J
He also didn’t have his dribble
The mix-up is coming.
Rafael Pando
Well played👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
Atlantis is amazing
Get ready for Mermaid puss! YEAH Atlantis Baby!!!
They ain’t ready
Can’t wait! Best episode imo. If Pickle Rick is Inglourious Basterds the mixup is Pulp Fiction. Masterpiece.
I think the most interesting thing from this episode is that Rick sees his love for Morty as a toxin..... Rick is so broken that he thinks caring for another person is toxic.... that's just just really sad and fucked up.
That’s one interpretation, but another is that Rick is so obsessed with his ultimate mission (no spoilers for those who haven’t seen past this point), that intellectually, he considers anything that compromises this singular goal to be a weakness, including his feelings of caring for Mort, along with the Beth and Summer in this reality.
On the other hand, Rick does have a heart, as we saw with him sacrificing his life for Morty’s in the season 2 premiere… That’s the part of himself that he’s most afraid of. Carl Jung would love this show.
When the healthy Morty forgot to disconnect his phone. Notice how calm his reaction to it.
It seems even if he is already living his life, a part of himself still wanted to go back home.
That's why he didn't even afford to run away and even struggle the moment that he noticed that he didn't disconnected the call.
Next episode is easily the best episode in the whole series
Is that the episode where Morty gets that mermade puss?
Atlantis is a pretty dope place! Lord Neptune is one of my favorite characters
@@alecczar8680 My favorite part was when Rick tried to steal Poseidon's Trident, but it wouldn't work, until it fell into Morty's hands, because he worthy and wanted to use it to save Atlantis from the Squidibear. Then later, Neptune said it didn't work for Rick, because he couldn't get it up and "perform" heroically.
@@Augoeides32 OMG I'm cracking up haha
You shouldn't spoil, i mean who knew Mermaid Puss was that good? Not me.
If you guys didn’t notice. After they went in the detoxifier (whatever it’s called), Rick started using his seatbelt. He never uses it
Next episode hype
😁
Hype, cant wait for next episode!
Next ep is the best in the season imo
You guys are gonna love Atlantis for sure. Next is the Best of all! 👏
3:45 finally a reaction channel that understands wtf is happening
Are the standards for some people towards reactors that low, that people actual feel endowed watching reactors just for being able to follow what's going on in the show and understand the characters sometimes?
@@ShadowDuty7no, it's just that a lot of reactors really don't understand what goes on in this specific episode.
I thought the interesting part was when Morty was in his New York apartment and hung up the phone he didn't actually hang up
and that allowed Rick to trace his location
it always made me wonder if Morty deep inside wanted Rick to find him so he subconsciously didn't hang up
Their halves were always trying to become a whole again
They skip one of the best parts, when everyone became toxic, and the kids started killing,,hahaha
Probably because it made fun of God. I noticed they also skipped the part where Rick says "if God exists, it's f*ing me"
Steven W i love that line 😂
We didn't really have that many reactions during those parts and we have to be extra careful about copyright lately! Our full reactions are on Patreon.
@@wongie2008 Yea I thought the same thing. I love those scenes so much haha. Maybe they're religious and don't want to hear it or it's just the copyright. They mentioned it here.
Think this episode was more so pointing out how people have different views on what they preceive as "healthy" and that our own self loathing can skew that perspective.
it does show rick does care about morty but because of the whole multi verse concept, rick knows that there are the same versions of morty out there so him caring for this specific version, even going out of his way to save him, makes him view every as irrational.
This is my new Saturday routine thanks for the awesome reaction!
I love how Jessica was about to have character development and they decide to go back on it to make a statement about her not having any development.
You guys do a great job. Love it! Keep it up
"They need to make a movie about that" They did make a movie about it. 3 actually. It's called Star Wars
This episode was just eye opening to say the least.
How nice. I just looked up and here you are. I look forward to these. Thanks for sharing.
If they made that six day adventure into a movie I would totally watch it! And watch your guy's reaction to it because you two are awesome!
Absolutely one of the most revealing episodes of this show!
Dang about time. Only been waiting all week to see this. Lol
0:00 I headbang every beat
0:04 I wiggle my whole body
You just made their intro funny. Thanks lol
@@TheYvesL I legit doing it since I discovered this channel lol try it too 😂
next episode is one of the craziest and best in the whole series so far and one of me favourites
im not gonna spoil you anything but im really looking forward to seeing you reacting to it
The ending song got me good the first time around.
Way to go with this series
Beautiful room. Dope NASA shirt
Right at nine minutes, subtle middle finger!
Making those 6 days into a movie is seriously brilliant. Release it on Easter.
They should do this concept again wayyyy later in the later seasons to see how much they have changed
You shouldn't be sympathetic towards Jerry. You'll notice in the series that whenever Jerry gets the tiniest amount of power it automatically goes to his head.
ONE WEEK FOR ATLANTIS BABY
I really like this episode because how much explores both characters. Also the scene of the kids killing the party clown is top black comedy and the fight with the rapid growing clones and weapons hidden in the house is one of the more creatives.
Love you guys so much
Next episode is the...
SECOND BEST!!!
I like S4 Ep8 too much, sorry everyone.
Lol
My fav is S3Ep1. I think next episode is overrated and alot of better episodes (S1Ep6 for example).
@@nottomcruise6474 I think S3 Ep 1 and S1 Ep 6 were overrated tbh. I really, really liked S2 Ep3 though, the end is too good and I think it doesnt get the recognition it deserves.
@@negative6057 yes thats another classic. I just dont get why people love s3ep7 so much. Compared to other episodes its weak
@@nottomcruise6474 Probably the same reason people don't love S3Ep1 or S1Ep6.
I know you've seen the next episode but I can't wait to see the reaction. Without a doubt the best episode in the series
This episode doubles down on what I mentioned in the last episode. Mortys probably all have the capability of becoming like Evil Morty, but their insecurities and doubts keep them down. I feel that is why Rick bullies them so much. He keeps trying to tear them down.
Two things to note:
1. These are not the perfect versions of Rick and Morty, just their idealized versions of themselves. As such, Rick doesn’t care about Morty, because that would be a weakness, and Morty doesn’t care about anybody, so that he can be cool and confident.
2. This doesn’t mean that Toxic Rick is a good person, aside from his caring for Morty… He built two Multiverse batteries to power his global toxification device (7:47)
When you have fans of the normies commenting to make their videos like yours (to expertly avoid copyright) you know you’re doing a lot of things right.
why did you guys skip the church and kids party scenes?? O_o
One of these days I’m going to use morty’s pick up line monologue and it’s gonna work
i love kacee’s eyeliner
One of my favorite episodes!
Chewie actually got a medal in new canon. Before TROS. He gave it away to a young woman he helped.
Wisecrack did a decent analysis of this episode and others. You should check it out!
Man I really wanted to see their reaction to the toxic church scene lol
Next episode will definitely be a contender for best episode of Rick and Morty.
At 7:25 when Rick suddenly slaps Morty across the face, that's not anger, or any emotional reaction, or a response to anything Morty did or said - that's Rick experimentally testing his hypothesis that his love for Morty has been extracted and is part of Toxic Rick now. He realised that part of his idealised self-image as "The Smartest Man in the Multiverse" is the belief that emotional attachments are "irrational" and "a weakness", and hence they were extracted and he no longer has any feelings for Morty.
When he has this epiphany, he tests it by slapping Morty across the face, and with his hypothesis confirmed, he goes on to base his plan on this insight into his own self-image.
Dude, Atlantis is coming up next! You guys are gonna love all the mermaid stuff
That six day adventure they're on at the beginning, they're actually performing a space crab abortion
Listen if there was the perfect opportunity to create Evil Morty, this was it. The multi-verse theory states that a new universe is created whenever ANYONE makes a choice about anything. Thus making the multiverse infinite.
"thatd be a really good idea for a movie" yeah i think they did it almost half a century ago its called Star Wars LOL
well I mean its rick and morty so there is always a possibility of this morty actually being evil morty, because in the show there are infinite universes, which means there are infinite possibilities. Which also means there would be an infinite number of realities in which that exact morty never got turned back into regular morty. Therefore the theory still stands, but I honestly highly doubt this would even be the case because this theory is a bit underwhelming.
Yay the first good episode since the premiere imo
I wonder how they'll edit the next episode. :)
Rick & Morty covered in boogers still grosses me out to this day. 😆😆😆
Amazing song :) I listen to it in the car. Terry folds
Guys that was too short we really miss you 💔💔
00:45 My personal observation is that Rick cares about people, but only in those moments when they deserve it. When the same people act like shit, he punishes them with not giving a shit so that they understood when they are doing good and when they act like shit. The confusion might come from the fact that it might be the same people, depending on the circumstances and how they act. Rick is not the type of person who would care about someone "forever" and unconditionally.
Actually, this particular episode is a perfect example for seeing this :> Especially the moment from 07:50. Listen again carefully to what the "normal" Rick says about the "toxic" Rick and his attachment to Morty. Then notice that a while later, "toxic" Rick becomes part of "normal" Rick again :>
Anyone else notice how Rick scream gets a little messed up and didn't anyone else go back to the bunch of times
Next episode is my fav.
Get ready for two of the best episodes in the whole show next!
2:15 They _did_ make it into a movie. _In 1977._
And in 1986 (Aliens), 1996 (ID4), and 1999 (The Phantom Menace)
“Getting peed on oh my god yum.” Terryfolds is a banger.
Why skip the toxic world parts? The church scene was the best part of the episode!
I know right, really wanted to see them react to the kids killing a clown
I bet they didn't like those god scenes but they noticed that people don't like them being offended
@@mario_gabriel Nobody should get offended tho. Its a show and even strong Christians laughed their asses off :D
Alexander Ryez I know right, but sadly there are some fanatics that always get offended
Notification squad!
She said Evil Morty so many times.... Beetlejuice.
She Hope's evil Morty comes back ay? Haha
Old video just now watching it but yo if your from San Antonio you got a sub I just noticed the hat lol I'll sub anyone from Texas especially my home town
They're not gonna make a movie of those six days because they would've already spoiled the ending.
“Have you even been peed on?” “Oooo yummmmm”
I'm here!
PUG!
My favorite episode is next
Can you guys react to Dexter‘s laboratory from the 90s and even the band episode and the movies to
I don't know if y'all have seen it, but this episode has a minor crossover with Gravity Falls.
Almost 3x7 :D
Edit: just a note. Remember to remember.
Ha next episode where going to Atlanta's
The lesson: Rick wishes he was a sociopath and Morty is a fundamentally selfish person.
ayyy go spurs go
Im from the 210 🔥🔥 HAT
Anthony you're a lucky man 💯
Rorty and Mick
Next Saturday 😁 3x7
If only Evil Morty would come back...
How bout that.
Yeah it would’ve been better if that was somehow evil Morty great backstory
Evil Morty is next week
You guys should react to haikyu.
I Love cocky morty to be honest
Yos
too bad you remove the best part for me of the episode and keep it for your patreon.. when they show how evil people can be. (the kids murdering, religions for money, ect) still love ya all :) Stay healthy.
These are old why haven’t you watched them years ago
Is kacee pregnant? Because shes glowing 🙈
Haha! Thank you but no, I'm not... I wouldn't be having my drink if I was! 😉
@@DosCavazos true 😅👏🏻
I don't like the "aesop" of this episode because I feel like it's based on a false premise. The message they're trying to push is that we need the good parts and the bad parts of ourselves in order to have "balance." But look around the world. Turn on the news. Do any of these people seem "balanced" to you? IMHO Rick should have taken the science further. Instead of just turning his own toxins on and off, he should have isolated each one, and shunted them all into their own individual tanks in like a backpack or something, so he could turn them on and off at will. Or program a computer to adjust them in response to his current situation. Or something like that. We don't need to "be ourselves." We need to fix ourselves.
Well in a sense, the toxic Rick wasn’t as pure due to having some of the clean Rick’s DNA n him after that cloning dart hit him, while toxic Morty was disintegrated so he wasn’t pure either, so they became a bit less toxic then they were before
They skipped all the best parts...
Ha ha! I'm the 666th person
