It looked to me like you reassembled with the bolt/washers/nut in different order - the lock-washer was under the nut, now it's under the bolt head, while the flat washer traded places with it. Unless I don't see that correctly....
I work on an Orchard. I carry a blade sharpener and sharpen my loppers probably every 20ish trees or everytime before or after finishing a row. Taking apart the loppers each time would be an ass, i also dont have a work shop with a grinder... I was kinda more looking for a video on how to properly angle or something. Taking it apart isnt necesarry specially yours that barely have use, well atleast compared to mine... I use em 40hrs minimum each week i guess haha
Erik thats awesome! Look for something on amazon called corona blade carbide. Its a little pocket tool that you can run down your edge for maintenance in the field. My loppers are NOT high use, i maybe use them 5x a year! haha, you will enjoy that blade sharpener from corona tho, I love mine!
A little bit of conversation would really help and you really cut short the honing of the 2 edges, you just showed a little grinding and then you put them back together. Not enough!

ya wd 40 will work for lube and protection. I light matching oil is good, 3in1, etc. any stone will work, rods, maybe? I have never tried them on this type of work.
Perhaps if FISKARS used a better quality metal then, the Loppers might not look as though someone's been cutting wire with them. Really disappointed that mine look like that after not much work whereas my old fashioned wooden handled ones (without any noticeable tradename) are FAR BETTER quality.
06/02 23, Fairly typical of today's gardening tools - better off buying 50 year, or so, old 2nd hand items. We can't make 'em like they used to - we don't make our own steel now ! Some of my late parents' equipment continues to perform despite their vintage. Correct maintenance is necessary too.
justalurkr you likely won’t have a way to check the angle on these since they are so curved and small. Most utility choppers like these should be 15 deg. I just try to copy the original angle.
Ok awesome. I bet I can help. That is going on with the flat side? You can use your sharpening stones to flatten the contact side and make sure your tension is good in the nut.
Why do you record sound when you don't talk doesn't make sense it's more informative if you explain what you're doing seems like you intentionally have the sound blasting for some reason I don't get it LOL
I have seen lots of silent, show your work vs telling what you are doing. I tried something here, mostly no one liked it, :) I have tons of tutorials on my channel, more coming. love for you to join us and thanks for the comment!

I don't have that machine, Does it matter if I use sharpening stone or Steel Knife Sharpening Steel Sharpening Rod ? Is it ok to use WD40 to lub it?

Are you using sand paper? If you are using a stone. Maybe it’s a two sided one with fine and coarse?

You put the lock washer on the wrong side when reassembling.
How do you figure out the angle to hold it, please? Thanks for posting!

I follow the angle that the manufacturer put on the edge.
What about the non sharp side? That's what is making cuts tough. I know how to sharpen a blade
