    It’s very amazing hotel. I can't wait to go there in a week. It will be my first trip to Cuba. I watch a lot of videos about this hotel. I want to say that everything is shown in detail.

    Hey JONAH VLOGS & DIY, thanks for the upload. I enjoy the video. Kinda long, but really informative. I would have loved this resort, only that it doesn't have a bathtub for my wife. She wakes up earlier than me and our boy, and usually has a relaxing bath. Hey thanks for sharing your moments 🙂

    Another awesome video Jonah. You can plug iPhone or Android phone into the 220 volt plug. Just need a plug adapter but think our plugs will fit in those wall sockets. The iphones and android will charge in either 110 or 220 no problem. Should say on the charger 110-240

    • @jonahvlogsdiy4143

    • @jonahvlogsdiy4143
      @jonahvlogsdiy4143  Před 4 měsíci

      You usually pay in American. Bus tour is $60-120 US depends on how many little towns they stop. We used a private guide with his classic chevy & negotiated $150 US for me, wife & daughter. Check out this link for our Havana tour. czcams.com/video/Inp4Hz59XJ0/video.html

    Hi! Thank you for your video we are heading to Selectum in a few weeks and i was kind of scared because some reviews said that the beach was terrible and that it smell bad…did you get any bad smell during your stay?

    Most phone chargers can already handle 220v without adjustment. Read the fine print.
    That food spread was 100x better than when I went to Cayo Coco a year ago. Sure that wasn't just for the cameras, lol?

    • @jonahvlogsdiy4143
      @jonahvlogsdiy4143  Před 5 měsíci

      Good to know about the camera. My wife did try it, but put pulled it out later because the phone got too hot. No definitely not for the camera. We had a nice spread daily, but the resort is fairly brand new in Varadero & it's owned by a Turkish Co. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.

      @jonahvlogsdiy4143  Před 2 měsíci

      Yeah we try to do the video early in the morning when there is less people & avoid the crowd. If you're going in June, there will be less people because it's already summer in Canada. No need to go there when it's already warm here.

  • @ahsm
    @ahsm Před 5 měsíci +1

    Hello. Thanks for the informative video. I am planning to go with my family in two weeks. Can you please tell me what kind of food there was for lunch/dinner? Was there any seafood? I am a big seafood fan.
    Also I am coming with my 5 year old son, were there any other kids at this resort?

    • @jonahvlogsdiy4143
      @jonahvlogsdiy4143  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Yes lots of kids. Sea food mainly consisted of fish. There was some calamari & shrimp at the buffet, although not often. No lobster with buffet. We didn't see lobster with the a la cart either. Book your a la cart restaurant right away when you get there because they do book fast. You may want to bring your own spices & ketchup because sometimes they are hard to find, or Nutella for your boy if he likes it. Bring mosquito/ bug spray also. Hopes this helps.

      @@jonahvlogsdiy4143Hello. Thank you very much for your reply. Also, thanks again for the video. It was much better than the regular promotional videos because I was able to see first hand how everything was.
      Overall, were you satisfied with the resort? My main concern is the beach, in some videos it seems like it's very rocky and not a lot of sand. In other videos (including your own) it seems like the beach was widened and the water was clean and clear.
      Did you ever leave the resort and explore Varadero? And last question, I promise - was there a car rental service at the resort? I want to rent a car and drive to Havana with my family.
      Thanks and take care! :)

      Varadero beach looked very beautiful although we didn't go in the water. It's a nice town Varadero. I don't think you can drive yourself, you need a tour guide. My next video showed our visit to Havana. We had a great time.

    Hello. May I ask how far of a walk it is from the Hotel to the beach? Second trip for me. Last time it was Cayo Coco. The staff didn't really understand English at all. How was your experience? I think I will use a translator this time.
    By the way, the food looks good :)

    • @jonahvlogsdiy4143
      @jonahvlogsdiy4143  Před 4 měsíci

      Only about a 3 min walk to the beach. Most understand English but not all. A translator will definitely help. I really liked the food also but I'm not so picky either. Have fun in Varadero.
