With the help from Morgan State's illustrious students, faculty, staff and Alumni, we we're able to come together to create an amazing video for this new "Happy" movement Pharrell has created. During these difficult times we're living in due to Covid 19 and the killing of another black man (George Floyd) by the police, I am listening to this video to uplift my spirits, June 2, 2020. I am a 1979 graduate of Morgan State University. Living here in Washington, D.C. and seeing the looting and violence the last several nights, I needed to listen and watch this video. 😀😀
I love this song. Whenever I get depressed, I listen to this song. A neighbor and friend for over 30 years died January 24, 2017, and a Morgan classmate died November 2015. Today I passed the cemetery they are both buried in and I became sad. I thought about my mother who passed away suddenly Christmas Eve 2013, the day before her 81st birthday. I start to think about this song. Morgan class of 1979
