I prefer beeswax as well. You are right about the gel. It waves the hair back up and it doesn't look as polished.

I see so many of these styles with lumps, hair separating and not smooth. Those extra added touches really makes a difference- because the client is the stylist's walking billboard.

Great job, I use Beeswax as well but I prefer using gel for curly or wavy ponytails and the waved up hair looks good with those.

Thank you. But I've seen this technique before however black wrapping paper was used around the ponytail and secured, before wrapping the hair so no glue would get on the ponytail hair. But, great ponytail overall.

Yes she did a great job. I wear sleek ponytails myself and I NEVER use rubber bands...Rubber bands are just NOT good for the hair..I use and prefer ponytail holders .

When you wrapped the hair around the base of the ponytail you can use hair pins. The one shaped like an open U.

AJ yes! Whenever i do my ponytails or buns, i always use bees wax! Im natural so i have to flat iron my hair , and because gel is water based, it curls my hair back to its natural state so my hair doesn’t look straight anymore.. but theres no water in bees wax so it keeps my hair bone straight! I loveeee it

You are the PUSH of inspiration I needed to get myself in check. I quit this business about 4/5 years ago, I was burnt out or so I thought.
