- Cameron Herrin, a Tampa Bay local, was racing his sports car across Bayshore Boulevard in 2018 when he hit and killed a young mother and her 21-month-old baby. Recently, he was denied the request to reduce his 24-year prison sentence. In this segment of Youth News, our hosts, Jada, Tolu and Lola discuss their take on whether Herrin, now 23 years old, should serve such a long sentence due to his reckless teenage decisions.

Personally I can’t even understand the whole concept of this whole Justice for Cameron thing 😩😩😩 Like they don’t even acknowledged the mother and the baby and even the father’s emotional trauma 😤😤😤 This is how bad things have gotten with society (Ik not literally everyone is apart of it) Also I’ve seen people say this and I definitely agree with this but if he wasn’t so attractive nobody would’ve defended him in the first place and honestly whatever you’re hot or not doesn’t excuse any wrongdoings. I’m just saying what if Cameron Herrin were as bad or even worse than Jeffery Epstein would people still side with him? 🤨🤨🤨 And if that’s the case…. I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!!! 😫😫😫😫
He is lucky I was not the judge...I would have given him the max for each person he murdered! 30 years plus 30 years to run back to back!!!!!!!!
Ummm he was actually 18 at the time and he got imprisoned in 2021 when he was 21 at the time, you got it wrong!!And he deserves rotting in prison!!
