  • It's time to try and get a little more steering angle out of the Everest. After seeing the amount of space, or lack there of, between the steering link and diff housing I'm not holding my breath for much. But any would be very welcome. Also had 3 of the 4 bead locks come out, no likey.

    boy those tires have seen better days its a shame they came undone so quickly. I never ran my stock wheel set up. switched both Pro's out with 3 peice aluminum beadlocks with showdown's. They are working awesome with the rig.

      Haha, yeah they were a little worse for wear. But after sanding the wheels down they seem to be held in much better now. If that doesn't work out I'll probably slap some aluminum ones as well. Will need to make sure they hold when brushless goes in.

    I lift the steering rod with a spacer, it clear the diff housing now. I also shave the bump that is on the hub, it hit the C-Hub carrier on full lock. I did a vid on the beadlocks. Nice vid man!

    Thanks for the vids. Gonna get mine early next month.
    If ur carefull u can flat spot that link without bending it and that should give u the clearance.

      Thx! I saw that in another video recently too! I decided to go with the VP bits instead, they show up on Wednesday. Before that I'll be adding some RC4WD offset ends to the steering link to see just how much the stock setup can give.

  • @downwiththesicknessrc7783

    You can keep the rod, and use RC4WD, angled rod ends. It gains you all the space you will need. Also Vanquish stage one knuckles and arms will have it turning with your 10ii's.

      Eric Bostick the knuckle and arms that are designed for the SCX10, first gen, will work on the Redcat.

    Hey had this issue with my scx10 gen 1 you can get diffrent rod ends witha bend in them simple 4 dollar fix

    • @1TenthScaleRC
      @1TenthScaleRC  Před 6 lety +1

      Appreciate the input! I think that's the plan so far. Seems the easiest fix and should get the last bit of angle it needs to make a decent turn.

    what about putting a bend or two in the tie bar. as well use counter sunk screws

    • @1TenthScaleRC
      @1TenthScaleRC  Před 6 lety

      Definite possibilities. I'm a bit of a clutz, not sure I'd get the angles right. But the counter sunk screws sounds easy enough.
