Port Arthur is left over from a previous population living in Australia, as are most buildings in Hobart

Lots of good information. Just some comments on pronunciation as this sounds computerised: we do not pronounce Launceston as the Brits do. It is pronounced 'Lonceston', with an 'o' sound as in 'on'. Likewise, Tasmania shortened sounds like 'Tazzie' not 'Tassie' with a soft 's'. For American viewers, pleased do not call us Aussies with a soft 's' either - it drives us crazy! It is pronounced Auzzie. Tasman Peninsula is pronounced 'Tazz-min' (said quickly). Russell Falls is particularly spectacular in the winter and spring when the snow melts.

it wouldn't matter how much was covered because there is always one dickhead that thinks they know a better place.

Tasmanian people are jealous of Sydney. Seriously, there is nothing in Tasmania but beautiful nature and non-stop cold most of the year. If someone die, nobody knows for days. If you hayfever it will never go away and eating icecream is hard since it's so cold.

No one anywhere is jealous of Sydney 😅

Good video although a natural voice track would have been nicer. AI voices just don't get phrasing or pronunciation right.

We stayed 1 night in St Helens, it was a nice town. I enjoyed my early morning walk around the shore. We shopped at the supermarket, really yummy fruits & food, especially cherry, I found it was cheaper & nicer than Hobart at that time. We had a lunch picnic by the beach, very nice.

This could of have been a great video, if it wasn't for the AI voice over unfortunately!

Isn't Tasmania the place where the indigenous inhabitants were completely exterminated by being thrown over cliffs, and their land and homes were subsequently taken after their men, women, and children were brutally wiped out?
