last year I failed an entire class (science) and I lost my phone for a month and had to practice science and ask to redo all the tests I failed (I still failed) then I got grounded
Yea I failed a test! Luckily my mom did not get mad instead she just helped me learn and understood more the subject the test was about!
I always thought English was easy for everyone but I just didn't know my first language is the closest language to English

In school, for me, I always got good grades, I was always top of my year/class but unlike you the pressure was so different my parents told me I *have* to get good grades or else. English isn’t my first language either *extra info* but where I live we have SATS in primary school. We would have year/grade 1,2 SATS and 3,4,5 would old SATS papers. Year 6 did a few practices before the actual SATS. But I feel like tests at lower grades/years are so unnecessary, I know people who were idiots like 5 years ago and now really smart. Just because you fail school, doesn’t mean you fail life, schools is only a little minor part of your whole life, everyone can improve.

my country forces us to repeat grades if u have up to 50 absenses or fail the final exam, and my school does not allow us writing in a different font. always cursive or high capitals. we always have to write in the main language, and thanks to this, im also slowly losing my english again. my school SUCKS at english and they think they're so much better than normal english people in the US when they literally speak in an indian ahh accent ☹️

This isn't exactly the same but in 4th grade I had a teacher who would fail me on purpose. My mother hated her. I got my worst grades ever that year and because of her I got seperated from all my friends and put in different classes for middle school. I ended up doing stuff online to "catch up" and I did with everything except math. 😭
dw we all went through that(NVM JUST ME BYE) i learn it and i dont understand why u guys conjugate like what and i dont understand accents and masculine like girl why is there 2 i dont understand french english so good
And btw in my state they have some testing thing you do for 4-5 days but luckily there was a reward day after we were done testing in English Language Arts (ELA) Math, and science, but I got all (A+, A, and A-)s and I was gifted talented but in preschool or kindergarten I had this tablet which helped me talked and to say stuff (I have a phone I’m watching this on rn that has proof I used to have that tablet) and ofc the other students in my preschool or kindergarten class does not have Autism but I was gifted talented like I said before and on this website called study island there was ela, science, and math and in 4th grade I’ve gotten to the point where I could do 6th grade stuff but my parents say “oh she can do 9TH grade math” like I can do 7th grade math and sometimes my friends make me left out and I was a introvert so I was shy to say like any normal 9-10 year old would say “CaN WE PlAy?” And I was angry sometimes but I can tell you how MuCH I got hurt, so I got a bruise while falling down a stump while we were playing my worst goofy ah game, kickball, now One girl felt a bad for me so thats 1, then I got pain from a boy throwing a football at my head so that was 2, but I’ve gotten hurt 2 times but every time I get my report card there’s this extra not that says blah blah your child needs to calm down blah blah blah use methods to calm down. And I sucked at comprehension so much that I kept on getting 60s and 50s on it except for one time.
English is my first language but my schools make us take a least two years of another language like French, Spanish, or sign language. And I’m taking French and it’s so difficult to write in. I can read it pretty well. I can speak ok in it. But for the life of me I cannot write down words in French. I love the French language and think it’s really beautiful but it’s so hard to learn 😭

my first language was French too! but i always watched English videos when i was younger so thats how i learned English really well
