I got the edge tamers and poly pads over a year ago. Finally got some snow a few weeks ago. I wasn't impressed. It left too much snow behind due to the bucket being lifted too high off the driveway surface. It does save the driveway from damage tho. I'll need to come up with a way to close the gap and get closer to the surface.. otherwise these edge tamers and poly pads are worthless. I've read that some people put a small piece of PVC pipe over the cutting edge between the edge tamers.. I may try that during the next snow fall.

Hey thanks for stopping in, the system works very well but it does leave some snow behind. Here is the "modification" I made to setup and have used it through year 2 with no issues! czcams.com/video/ust5aLmWaoQ/video.html

@@k6outdoorsThx for the video. I was actually thinking of trying the pvc pipe hack. I just haven't gotten around to it. Maybe I'll set it up tomorrow (Sunday) since we might be getting hit with some snow on Tuesday next week. Cheers...

I wonder if a little thread lock should be used when you apply the Poly Pads fasteners - My Poly Pads are on order - I ordered both the Edge Tamers and Poly Pads based on your reviews. Great Video!

Hey, thanks for stopping in! A little thread lock wouldn't hurt, but ive also not had any issues with them coming loose yet. I appreciate the feedback and think youll be happy with the purchase!

Just ordered some edge tamers from R2 this week because of your earlier video. Put your channel down as to where I heard about them. Now I got to check these out to.

Great video!! Besides the obvious disadvantage, have you found there to be any snow back dragging capabilities at all with the edge tamers installed? Thanks!

I use the bucket with them on it to do back dragging in areas of deep snow. Obviously you cant scrape down to bare surfaces with them but it works well to moves piles and drift. Ive never had them fall off and continue to use them! Hope this helps! Thanks for stopping in.

I'm in Iowa as well and I hope you never get to use these because that means no snow. I'm sure you will get a chance.

Maybe we will get that lucky and not have any snow to move! Unfortunately, no snow in winter usually means it cold as heck. Thanks for stopping in RMD.
