The Audi A5 Coupe takes the underpinnings of a four-door A4 saloon and wraps them in a two-door body. Put the two side-by-side, though, and you'll see the A5 is the much sportier looking car. This is by far the best looking coupe on the road currently.
I got mine 3 months ago, taking down to the shops or just a quick spin, It never gets old. Just puts a big smile on my face.
what engine power and petrol or diesel?
@@65belton 2 litre petrol. I posted this 10 years ago and I still have the car. Its low mileage so I will likely keep it a while longer.

@@Candy-hc1qh About the same, but it is really low mileage. Of course, with inflation the cost of fuel went up a lot but thats a different story. It needed new shocks a few years ago as the back ones were leaking. Thats because of all the harsh speed ramps the council have put down where I live. Otherwise its tip top.

I don't like Audis, but this is such an underrated car design wise. It really is a good looking car.

BMW: sport and fun
MB: Class and refinement
Audi and Aston Martin have class too LoL
BMW: ugly interior and outdated tech. Overrated performance.

I just bought one in phantom black best car I’ve ever had 👍
For alpine driving, I really recommend the quattro version. The FW traction is not bad, but only if you run on normal west european conditions. By heavy snow and ice, the power of the engine is really punishing.

hate this review so many things to do and yet can't stop watching it over and over again
I love the car, Color looked amazing but black or white color as usual might look better. I was just looked for A5 reviews and I was wondering why carbuyer did not review the A5 before. But see they looked at its newer model this week. Thank you Matt.
One more thing I wanna see in the reviews is that if they show interior with details while the car is parked, that would be much nicer :)

The 3 litre V6 diesel is the best, with good economy and over 240 horsepower so its not slow either! The fact it is diesel and twin turbocharged means it will pull like a train and much more torque than a similar size petrol

Plus if you've heard one in person, it's sound really good for a diesel
So many cars and models - yet no manufacturer has managed to produce a vehicle that both looks good AND rides with great comfort. It's always either good looks and harsh suspensions and sports chassis or grumpy old man looks with soft and nice comfort. Unless you have the cash to splash for a MB 500 or something like that of course.
The Lexus Rc has sporty looks and a very comfortable ride.
I usually don't really like German cars, but sweet Jesus that is a pretty coupé !

The new A5/S5 is awesome, I was going to get a S5, but I am waiting till new 3 series come out to see how that is. When test drove S5, its fast, but compared to 3 series, driving performance is meh.

hey when i went to look at the a5 it did not have that knob near the cup holder for the screen do you get that with the gps package?

Id say the black edition does look really good but the c class coupe has the looks on the a5 an the 4 series
Im just going to upgrade my A5's front to the new shape as the rear is the same lol. Just saying, what was the point, just so all their cars look the same?

2.the a5 is the coupe version of a4, as the 3 series includes the coupe and sedan/wagon aswell.

@henrybrar Its a DSG gearbox, it improves performance and fuel economy and is actually more fun to drive. Believe it or not, just because you get a car with automatic transmission, doesnt mean you cant drive a manual, at least in europe, where ability to drive a manual is necessary in order to get a driving licence.

Could someone explain me whats the difference between 2.7l and 3.0l v6 engines? One of my friends told me that both of the engines are pretty much identical!
definitely power and torque and fuel consumption the bigger displacement is powerful and consume more fuel

Is A5 Sportback the most underrated car Audi makes? I think so. I never hear anyone talk about it.
The Coupe was not based on the A4, as it has a shorter wheelbase (Coupe & Cab) - "how did they miss all the space...") On the other hand, the A5 Sportback is directly based on the A4 then, with equal wheelbase.
LOL...you look far more different (grown up actually) here...You were younger in Mercedes benz cls 550 review...and that was the best one indeed!!!

Go for the 6 series, 635d in particular -
- better fuel economy
- Very Sporty and fast ride when needed
- comfortable seats
- classy dashboard
- lots of base options
- solid engine

All 3 of those companies are fun. An Audi S4/5/8, a Mercedes AMG, or a BMW M. All fun and powerful.
All are stylish and classy, with a lot of luxury.
They all cost a shitload and it's a preference after that.

Audi has never been short of ways of being the best at separating you from your money.
Add a section where you do a 0-60 test. They'd expect that anyway you might as well record it.

You can get really good quality "snow" across all London with also at good prices.
@JLchevz erm - they have to be in the front of the car to give a decent weight balance - audis of old were all struggling with this - engine always made front heavy by leaning out in front which all upset the handling... check where the wheels are on bmw's... even more so in front

A friend of mine is looking to buy this car. He has a child. Will the child be comfortable enough in the back as it looks kinda small? Also, can adults at 5ft to 6ft sit in the back of this car? Thanks

Its actually a new generation not just a "refresh" whatever that means. Just to make that clear. Also not the new BMW 3 series is also a new generation but the C class Merc has a middle cycle refresh a new gen of the C class may come out in 2015/2016. Just for u guys to now before u buy
Its a coupe, you want good comfort you get a sedan, the 3 series and a5 are comfortable enough, c class is out. In my opinion the 3 series is the best to drive, and is the most spacious, but the audi is a compelling option with those great looks, and about the gas milage i think that depends on which engine you get, because BMW efficient dynamics are exceptional. Its really about what you want, like driving thrills, or audi mmi, BMW idrive... are you an audi person, or a BMW person?

To 1.70 cm it is more than comfortable - otherwise he should take the hatchback (Sportback) - which also looks great and has a huge trunk (luggage compartment?)

Once I can actually afford it I'm thinking of getting either an Audi A5, Mercedes SLK 250 or Infiniti G37. Don't know which is the most reliable. They all seem like they would be fun to drive.

Well, that couldn't be further from the truth since the Audi S5/RS5 look better for starters, not to mention the BMW 6 series/M6, and the Mercedes SLS AMG. I'm getting an A5 Black Edition next month so obviously do think the car looks gorgeous, but it's definitely not the best looking coupé out there. Close, but no cigar.
