A quick walkthrough for the game Tower of Heaven. I included annotations to help those who need it. I did not make this game. All credit goes to askiisoft.

Thou shall not walk left, my first play through I could not figure this out for the life of me. This game almost preys on veteran gamers with things we take for granted in platformers. I love it
Someday I'd like to make a platformer where you go from right to left by default for the whole game, just to mess with people. ;) I haven't played this game, but the addition of fatal rules bit by bit is a great concept. It seems to me that it could easily have been longer. One could add laws that thou shalt not jump to one's full height, or that one must always walk between jumps, for example.
A really good use of motifs in a soundtrack for such a short game. I wish someone ported this to the actual Game Boy. Bonus points if the ending music is a PCM sample and blasts into colour when played on a Game Boy Colour.
This game had a neat premise that I think more games should use. Most of your deaths will actually be for violations of the rules (while they apply). But man, the feeling I got when leaving the window and reaching the final, Chaos stage was awesome. Just like those old-school retro awesome moments, like Wily Castle appearing, reaching Sky Sanctuary Zone, the final battle with DK in Donkey Kong '94, getting the Epoch in Chrono Trigger... Really felt like an old-school gamer again. Speaking of that stage, there's now a new secret: Jump off directly below the window back into the tower and fall back to the main stage right on top of another window.

The amount of passion that has been put into producing this game oozes from every note in its soundtrack... If only a fraction of this passion were to be put into some AAA games...
@ZeebStallion I personally feel that the tower connected Earth to heaven, but as long as the connection existed, humans could not progress because God was watching out for them too much. So they wish for the tower to be destroyed, the connection to be severed, and (with the appearance of colors) you see Earth begin to move forwards and develop again.
@ZeebStallion Actually youre only partially right. The wish was to destroy the tower so there wouldnt be other people dieing while trying to get to the end of it. but after the destruction the place around it just grew again.
After the book of law shatters, couldn't you actually touch golden blocks again, since you can now also walk left.. That may have made that section somewhat easier? I don't know, never got this far myself. :)
True, seems when I went to play this myself again after watching this, I found them to be some kind of block with skulls on it when I got to this point. That made it a bit more clear.
You missed one secret, that's you didn't get the secret ending. ^-^ The final secret is [SPOILER] After the cloud stage, don't go through the window to get back in the tower; instead, drop down from the window and you'll fall to another window which leads to the last secret.
0:05 Coming Back to this Game Only to find out that it's the Same Composer of Rivals of Aether who Composed THIS Game? And Here I Thought that "Tower of Heaven" Stage in Rivals of Aether was a Tribute to this Game. Turns out "Flashygoodness" was the Composer for Both Games. Who Knows? OwO

Yeah... that's where I got stuck years ago. Only now as I come back to this game did I figure it out.
+Julian Ross I got stuck there for a few deaths then it highlighted the walk part with quotes, and I instantly figured it out.
