I can't complain. I shot 300 with a 34 year old ball: My Fab Blue Hammer from 1988. There is a reason why the balls from that era last: the way they were poured and created. That, and how dependable that ball is is the reason why it has never left my bag since I bought it at age 14.

You couldn't crack them. If you ever tried chiseling away a Cobra cover, you would find out, you aren't getting that core out clean.

Urethane bowling balls are great. These give an explosive hit effect on pins. I used to have one before my injury and I called it the red bomb. It tends to go straight and hooks after hitting the pocket. It was ok for my straight throw style. Thanks for the video.

Man, awesome bowling. Great to have a nice old ball like that in your bag, especially when it works so well. You should really condition it, put new fingers in it and really get it setup so that you can use it in tournament play. That would be tremendous, and just so cool!

So glad to see you are healthy again and you are throwing the ball fantastic! .. You are going to have a fantastic year this year .. I can see it coming! ... and yes, please do some how-to's .. I would absolutely LOVE that! .. especially if you can teach me really how to make adjustments as the lanes change. How to change feet & eyes and when to change balls. I get really confused with that sometimes. It didn't help that my league teammate last night was telling me some stuff and got into my head. I bowled back to back 200+ games (which is great for me) and then Patrick had to give me some "pointers" and got into my head, consequently I bowled a terrible game after that. Stupid me, I should have never listened to it, at least not during that league play. My bad, so stupid, hopefully I learned last night that I just need to block that stuff out during league, especially when I am scoring pretty well.

Now we would have the best comparison I think. Just my opinion. Good luck!

OK ..... I quit bowling after the 2001-2002 season due to several reasons - not the least of which I was disgusted in how easy house conditions had become - both my scratch leagues were basically 'carry contests'. I competed on the Regional Tour for a few years (1986-87 in Eastern and in the mid 1990's in Southern) and I cashed and made the finals a few times, but not good enough to realize a profit after expenses, so I gave up on that. Anyway - after watching many of your videos (especially like you vs. Brittany ones) - part of me has had an urge to come out of retirement. I dug my old balls out of the closet and low and behold all of my reactive balls have cracked. But I have two Urethane balls still in great shape - my 1986 AMF Black Angle (which I used in my very first Regional Tournament when I qualified third for the finals) and the remake of the J.P. Brunswick LT-48 that I had drilled especially for a local house that had a 'sport shot' for a season or two. My thought was that these balls would be useless on today's conditions. But, after seeing this video - who knows?!

How about providing with some video footage of you and people with different playing styles attacking sport patterns? There are some who want to learn how to play on them.
