Andromedas Multiplayer is great, and yeah it was supper buggy at launch but I played the full campaign a few months after it came out and it was mostly fine. Still a disappointing game, the cast is pretty bad and the bad guys suck, but I would still give it a 8/10 overall.

It sucks to because Andromada wasn't that bad. It was a very solid start to a new trilogy that unfortunately got murdered because it wasn't a perfect game that games just had to have it be. I would have it win the award for the game that got the most shit that didn't deserve it
I wanted to like Andromeda, but the technical issues distracted me way too much, and I felt like it was just lacking any sort of polish. The combat was fun, but the exploration was boring and the story just sucked. The multiplayer was easily the best part of the game imo, but even that was too light on content to keep me interested.
Aside from the technical stuff which has been patched up now I didn't have any other issues with the game. My first playthrough took me around 70 hours and I enjoyed pretty much all that time. I really liked the story. Most of the characters were great. Andromada will probably be in my top 10 list for the year.
If you enjoyed it that much then more power to you, I personally saw it as nothing more than a janky disappointment. Definitely not the worst game of the year, but it was easily one of the most underwhelming.
the thing that gets me is that i can see the ambition behind the design choices, the things that make my mind wander to what could have been. that game could have been so much more but it just felt rushed and lacking any sort of cohesion, it felt like the writer's room was scattered and lacked any unified vision for what Andromeda should have been. the most damning thing about Andromeda was that it failed to introduce a vibrant new galaxy and its various constituent parts the way mass effect did way back when. how many franchises get that chance?
