The #legohouse is a multifunctional building in the #danish town of #Billund, approximately 1 kilometer from #Legoland. The building stands on the site of the former town hall of Billund. Construction work started in 2014 and the LEGO House opened on September 28, 2017.
The LEGO House was designed by the Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), and resembles 21 white LEGO blocks stacked on top of each other. The building has four zones, each with its own theme and marked with a color: the red zone represents creativity, the blue zone for cognitive skills, the green zone for social skills and the yellow zone for emotional skills. Two exhibition spaces and four performance locations are spread over the zones. The LEGO House has a floor area of ​​12,000 m².
In the basement of LEGO House is the Lego Museum which provides an overview of Lego sets released over the years. The exhibition also highlights the life of Lego inventor Ole Kirk Christiansen and the history of the company.
