You can actually get into Mr. Burns Mansion without the mod software. If you use the cheat codes for fast cars and jump cars, you can drive the rocket car through the power plant, jump up into the chess board backyard, and then drive up to the back door. Then, align yourself with the middle of the door, backup your car as far as possible on the porch, and then ram your car into the door, making sure to car jump right as you hit it. If done correctly, you'll phase through the door and gain access to his mansion. It may take a few tries, but is really easy once you get the hang of it. I used to do this all the time on my PS2.

I did it on a PC once, I do not know how I came up with this. You might as well go to the front yard of the mansion, but there are a lot of invisible walls, because of which it is practically impossible to move.

Well, there's a little program for ps2 (console, not PCSX2/emulator) called "Cheat device" that has a list of most of ps2 games with cheats, And yes this game is in that list, just take in note that there might be very few cheat codes for each game depending of the region, but i think that EU/PAL versions have cheats the most than the US/NTFS versions. It's been a foken year but eh, it doesn't hurt to talk about such iconic console.

No it's to make it look bigger than it actually is. Like the classroom being visible in the background makes the school seem less cramped.
