I slept with a black obsidian in my hand last night and it woke me up in the middle of the night. It was pulsating and shaking like crazy in my hand. Never felt that with any of my other crystals!
I rubbed an obsidian stone last night while reading before going to sleep. While the stone itself did not pulsate or shake, my dreams certainly did! Not scary, but demanding that I DO something! Very odd.
I walk around paranoid and susceptible to many feelings all at once as an empathy I placed my osedian necklace on and I immediate felt bold, strong, fearless, serious even. I feel so incredibly strong I can not stress it enough. As if I had been having my energy drained by the others and finally feeling what it is like to feel whole. It is the best feeling. I feel safe. And grounded. I instantly began to declutter my home
I first envisioned the other variety,brown with black specks,then,a week later,i felt very drawn to the black polished pendant instead,so grabbed a glossy shape,put it on a cord,love it's beauty,sloan says they need frequent cleansing,cause they are so hard working,do you find that to be true?

I'm over 50, and I'd been trying to be calmer in recent months (as, I suppose, "befitting my age"), but when I spent over an hour rubbing an obsidian stone while reading before going to bed, I had very intense dreams and woke up feeling very irritable and aggressive, like in my younger years. Can't tell if that was a bad thing or a good thing (there was definitely some vitality, even in the negativity). Your anger and fear and depression definitely don't sound like a good result-- obsidian is a harsh stone. If you're a more gentle soul, then I don't think it's right for you.
My black obsidian connected me to a part of myself that I never thought I would be good enough for! Running through the woods, and I knew the woods. They were MY woods! I owned it, and the feeling was so amazing! I’ve been feeling that power ever since! I’m not afraid of seeing things when I’m alone anymore, and I don’t feel anxious around people! I’m enjoying this so much! And looking forward to explore more now that I’m not scared anymore!

Black obsidian is great for metaphysical protection and protection from negativity. I put one in my classroom and my boss avoided my classroom for quite some time. It can also increase dormant psychic abilities.
@soju81 You rite about that I brought my obsidian bracelet yesterday cleansed it put it on felt so uptight so I gave it a rest put it on today I notice that people was avoiding me and family member that usually be annoying didn't call at all so I'm guessing it was the stone that gave me those vibes.
Looking back at old pictures, I noticed that I wore mostly black obsidian and hematite jewelry when I served in the military. I didn’t know anything about crystals back then but I always found rings and bracelets in stores and I thought it looked cool. It’s so interesting to learn about it, all these years later. I bought black obsidian at a local health store. I was looking for a protection stone. There was also black tourmaline but something visual about the obsidian drew me in. I am so happy I bought it. If I ever become upset in any way this stone sucks all the negative energy right out of me. I'm just a beginner with crystals but oh my goodness this stone has done wonders for me when I get upset.
I work with the obsidian quite often and found it to be a stone of truth! meaning it shows alot of truth. In the beginning stages of my awakening, the obsidian helped me to release, exactly like you said, attachments, unnecessary attachments. I did meditate for 3 months but at kmy last meditation I heard a very loud voice " Nancy Flowers are you home?" I scrambled for the door, thought someone entered! Then I came to realize meditation is no longer needed. I heard the same voice once before! I was so upset! people did not believe me and I asked why dont they believe with my hands upward! ! Went to bed, got awakened at around 5am with that voice which said " Book of Peter "!!! I had no clue what book of peter was! googled it and found it came from the bible, I had no bible so I had to purchase one and I did, then read book of peter straight awayThen I came to realize why people dont believe!!
Lady Grey Flower yes I found that since the evening I bought it I heard a strong internal voice. I think perhaps obsidian is like a guardian that can share certain knowledge or truths but in a very protective way. Definitely a great crystal 👍
It's so effective. Powerful and enlightening brought back my power. It healed my deepest pain after coming back from war. This stone inspires me and shift my perspective and motivated me to get back again. It helped me let go what doesn't serve especially during this of change. If it gives you a headache or heaviness it shows you how much you've been carrying it's not the stone it's how you feel what your going through and what you want healing for. The stone does it's part as sometimes healing those pain is overwhelming so you should expect that in every healing process, it takes time until you accept how you feel 🌱

The power to it is "Strength" you might not see in yourself but you'll feel it. That's what the stone will give you. It won't push you it will encourage you to keep doing what you wanna do to get by 💜 You got this. Feel those anxiety and understand why you feel that way - What's the cause and effect - How did that situation or event made you feel - Act upon it by tell your self for example ( My social surrounding gives me anxiety because I feel they won't accept who I am) will give you answers and understanding to becoming aware how you feel in that state - Come away and learn what can you do about it. Grab that stone and the stone will tell you the truth (feels) there maybe some uncomfortablity but aknowlege accept then let it go. By the next day you'll have self awareness and your surroundings. Go in a quiet spot and sit there quietly to pull away and give you time to think and express how you feel then grab the stone You'll start to feel the urge and answers appearing. I use Jet to stop or decrease the frequency of seizures. I've used it with humans and animals. A friend has a small dachshund rescue dog who was having frequent seizures and was growing more and more frightened of them. I loaned her a jet and quartz bracelet I had purchased to use as a necklace around the dog's neck. The frequency and severity of her seizures have decreased dramatically and she is less nervous about the small ones she does have. I realize now after listening to your video that I need to remind her to cleanse the bracelet frequently to possibly reduce even the few small seizures her precious dog continues to experience. What a great video! i have recently come to own a fantastic obsidian slice, and I wish i knew where and when its from. i was honestly not sure of what energy to expect, especially since having a previous bad experience of being given someone else's stones, but back then neither of us knew to cleanse them. almost immediately my sleep is returning back to being uninterrupted, peaceful and restorative. within a week or two, a lot of deeply buried emotions have been uncharacteristically steaming to the top, and i was wondering why was i being so emotional. feels like at the same as if being purged by fire. thank you also for explaining how to cleanse obsidian. you explain things so well and with much depth!

Hello Adam, great video! I want to describe a vision I had while meditating with a black obsidian sphere a few days ago. I also used clear quartz to amplify the experience. I think you'll find it very powerful. At the beginning I saw volcanic lava and fire devouring a massive forest, as thick coniferous trees burned while they were swallowed by lava. Eventually the landscape was just one big sea of hellish magma with volcanoes erupting in every horizon. Smoke filled my mind. Then my spirit appeared in the form of the devil's face burning with fire in the background. He assured me that at the end of this seance I would be reborn with a purified soul. When he disappeared rain cascaded onto the sea of lava solidifying it. This storm would bring back the vegetation, plants and trees originally destroyed. The forest eventually came back to pristine life full of tall trees and wildlife. Lightning struck all the animals in the land, sea and air charging their stregnth. My soul flew to this high mountain where there was this huge golden casket at the summit. When it opened this bright light poured out and once again my spirit appeared, this time in the form of a Egyptian pharoah. He assured me my soul was cleansed and purified. I tend to get these dark visions whenever I work with black obsidian. I know it's a purifier of dark energies, it's my intuition doing the cleansing. What do you think? Does anyone describe similar details while they work with this powerful crystal?

I have slight chest pains at times and usually a crystal pendant cures it. Yet one day I went through all kinds of stones from lapis lazuli to Aventurine to jade. The only stone (this time) that could subside the chest pain was obsidian. If you're ever randomly sick or in trouble try it!

For some reason I was watching a video about chackra and zodiac and it lead me here. I never came across about obsidian not until today and learn its powers. By the way I don't have an obsidian however the inner powers that were discussed I'm not too sure why I can totally relate with them. It is like having the crystal without the physical item. Hi. I had this weird experience. And I'm guessing it was due to the black obsidian bracelet I had in my pocket that time. I was in the bathroom and I suddenly had a feeling of hate towards someone I know. One of the cats that use to live outside my house had entered thru the front door and was pacing the living room. I had left the bathrrom door open for the cat to freely pass.Then moments afterwards I went from the bathroom to the kitchen to wash the dishes. The cat who entered appeared, unusual enough it seemed "quite active" and approached me hurriedly. First it went to rub itself against my legs, I thought it just wanted to greet me. Then I went inside my bedroom (it followed suit, hurriedly). It was there it attacked my right leg (I had the black obsidian in my right side pocket)! It used it paws to anchor to my legs and then bit me with its fangs in a snap. Then it stepped back, I was in a state of shock. Then minutes after I sent it out of my house.. I really felt bad.. Now I am thinking.. Did the black obsidian have somoething to do with what happened? Was it, like, the bad karma I received froom thinking hate towards that person, and the crystal just hastened the karma process? :( Can crystals ever do these things to the wearer? Ever since I began to keep the black obsidian along side my pillow, I began to have nightmares actually the things and people that bothers in my waking life visits me in my dreams they began to mock me and try to harm me, they make me feel low in my dream. I've been bothered by such dreams lately, I've been waking up with the feeling of disgust, so I woke up today cleansed myself with sage and kept the black obsidian on my left hand and prayed for protection,I felt well after that, I believe I should not keep it next to my pillow while sleeping, since it's a new experience plz help me how to work with it because I need this black Obsidian the most in my life. Nice video, Adam. I use black obsidian for protection in conjunction with Mica as i find this combo works great for me personally in terms of deflecting negative thoughtforms and unwanted energies. I have tried black tourmaline but it wasn't as effective for me even though it has a nice grounding effect. I also wear a black obsidian arrow pendant and i have noticed it brings up truth in a rather blunt way. Being a fire sign myself (moon and sun) i do not mind this at all, i appreciate it. I like to combine snowflake obsidian (worn on the left wrist) with black obsidian, it seems to do a great job as cooling down my emotional reaction to unpleasant truths. I acually bought a 2 piece yin & yang black obsidian necklace recently (a his /hers set for when i find "the one") one shows a dragon (my fave animal) other one a phoenix and i am a capricorn (earth sign) (ruled by saturn) i knew i felt a connection when i first held them in my hands
Following your logic, try scrying with a piece of obsidian using dragonsblood incense either nearby or between you and the mirror. "Smoke and mirrors" also relates back to native lore in the americas to do with magic, doorways and the underworlds, etc. Do remember to close a door after you leave. :D Also, in Egypt it was the tool used to make the only cut in the body for mummification, so even there it has underworld ties.

8:27PM I actually am Gemstone Sphere gazing at Black Obsidian Sphere sitting atop Purple Flame Aura Quartz to feel The guilt (Traumatic Prolonged Grief Disorder) over a man I love who died from Overdose, and I have been gaining insight from the meditation. Omg lapis and black obsidian changed my life!! Add moldavite and it made some of the most intense meditations
I bought black obsidian at a local health store. I was looking for a protection stone. There was also black tourmaline but something visual about the obsidian drew me in. I am so happy I bought it. If I ever become upset in any way this stone sucks all the negative energy right out of me. I'm just a beginner with crystals but oh my goodness this stone has done wonders for me when I get upset.

I work with the obsidian quite often and found it to be a stone of truth! meaning it shows alot of truth. In the beginning stages of my awakening, the obsidian helped me to release, exactly like you said, attachments, unnecessary attachments. I did meditate for 3 months but at kmy last meditation I heard a very loud voice " Nancy Flowers are you home?" I scrambled for the door, thought someone entered! Then I came to realize meditation is no longer needed. I heard the same voice once before! I was so upset! people did not believe me and I asked why dont they believe with my hands upward! ! Went to bed, got awakened at around 5am with that voice which said " Book of Peter "!!! I had no clue what book of peter was! googled it and found it came from the bible, I had no bible so I had to purchase one and I did, then read book of peter straight awayThen I came to realize why people dont believe!!

Lady Grey Flower yes I found that since the evening I bought it I heard a strong internal voice. I think perhaps obsidian is like a guardian that can share certain knowledge or truths but in a very protective way. Definitely a great crystal 👍

It's so effective. Powerful and enlightening brought back my power. It healed my deepest pain after coming back from war. This stone inspires me and shift my perspective and motivated me to get back again. It helped me let go what doesn't serve especially during this of change.
It took me 5 days to get used to the powerful vibration. Now I have made tgat relationship where it helps me through so much difficult situation to ease am surroundings in a positive manner

Understand and acknowledge how you feel what the stone brings to the surface! If it gives you a headache or heaviness it shows you how much you've been carrying it's not the stone it's how you feel what your going through and what you want healing for. The stone does it's part as sometimes healing those pain is overwhelming so you should expect that in every healing process, it takes time until you accept how you feel 🌱

The power to it is "Strength" you might not see in yourself but you'll feel it. That's what the stone will give you. It won't push you it will encourage you to keep doing what you wanna do to get by 💜 You got this. Feel those anxiety and understand why you feel that way
- What's the cause and effect
- How did that situation or event made you feel
- Act upon it by tell your self for example
( My social surrounding gives me anxiety because I feel they won't accept who I am) will give you answers and understanding to becoming aware how you feel in that state
- Come away and learn what can you do about it. Grab that stone and the stone will tell you the truth (feels) there maybe some uncomfortablity but aknowlege accept then let it go.
By the next day you'll have self awareness and your surroundings. When you gain the confidence then strength will push through what ever situation your going through.
- Awareness of your triggers and your feelings.
My advice " baby steps" don't push yourself be gentle all is well 💜
This stone will bring you strength truths and awareness. It also protects you from negativity and toxic surroundings. If your anxiety chills up again.
Go in a quiet spot and sit there quietly to pull away and give you time to think and express how you feel then grab the stone
You'll start to feel the urge and answers appearing. Then accept it and go back by then the stone doing it's part. It goes 50/50 you do the part and then the stone will do it's part.
I use Jet to stop or decrease the frequency of seizures. I've used it with humans and animals. A friend has a small dachshund rescue dog who was having frequent seizures and was growing more and more frightened of them. I loaned her a jet and quartz bracelet I had purchased to use as a necklace around the dog's neck. The frequency and severity of her seizures have decreased dramatically and she is less nervous about the small ones she does have.
I realize now after listening to your video that I need to remind her to cleanse the bracelet frequently to possibly reduce even the few small seizures her precious dog continues to experience.

i went to a crystalshop to grab some things i've always wanted to get me started on my journey (rose quartz, green fluorite, selenite) and randomly came across black obdisian. it wasn't on my list and was not a thought in my mind but i was so drawn to it and i got a piece for $4. i didn't even realize that it would now be my favourite stone that i take with me everywhere. it feels so powerful

What a great video! i have recently come to own a fantastic obsidian slice, and I wish i knew where and when its from. i was honestly not sure of what energy to expect, especially since having a previous bad experience of being given someone else's stones, but back then neither of us knew to cleanse them. almost immediately my sleep is returning back to being uninterrupted, peaceful and restorative. within a week or two, a lot of deeply buried emotions have been uncharacteristically steaming to the top, and i was wondering why was i being so emotional. feels like at the same as if being purged by fire. thank you also for explaining how to cleanse obsidian. you explain things so well and with much depth!

I want to describe a vision I had while meditating with a black obsidian sphere a few days ago. I also used clear quartz to amplify the experience. I think you'll find it very powerful.
At the beginning I saw volcanic lava and fire devouring a massive forest, as thick coniferous trees burned while they were swallowed by lava. Eventually the landscape was just one big sea of hellish magma with volcanoes erupting in every horizon. Smoke filled my mind. Then my spirit appeared in the form of the devil's face burning with fire in the background. He assured me that at the end of this seance I would be reborn with a purified soul. When he disappeared rain cascaded onto the sea of lava solidifying it. This storm would bring back the vegetation, plants and trees originally destroyed. The forest eventually came back to pristine life full of tall trees and wildlife. Lightning struck all the animals in the land, sea and air charging their stregnth. My soul flew to this high mountain where there was this huge golden casket at the summit. When it opened this bright light poured out and once again my spirit appeared, this time in the form of a Egyptian pharoah. He assured me my soul was cleansed and purified.
I tend to get these dark visions whenever I work with black obsidian. I know it's a purifier of dark energies, it's my intuition doing the cleansing. What do you think? Does anyone describe similar details while they work with this powerful crystal?

Once during my deep state of meditation a black small bowl which was shining silver appeared in front of my inner eye I recognized as the obsidian. I started to search the meaning and the purpose of this Crystal although it’s not a crystal but however I found out it was giving to me in the meditation from the universe to buy it and to protect myself and to heal from emotional pain. I have slight chest pains at times and usually a crystal pendant cures it. Yet one day I went through all kinds of stones from lapis lazuli to Aventurine to jade. The only stone (this time) that could subside the chest pain was obsidian. If you're ever randomly sick or in trouble try it!

For some reason I was watching a video about chackra and zodiac and it lead me here. I never came across about obsidian not until today and learn its powers. By the way I don't have an obsidian however the inner powers that were discussed I'm not too sure why I can totally relate with them. It is like having the crystal without the physical item. Hi. I had this weird experience. And I'm guessing it was due to the black obsidian bracelet I had in my pocket that time. I was in the bathroom and I suddenly had a feeling of hate towards someone I know. One of the cats that use to live outside my house had entered thru the front door and was pacing the living room. I had left the bathrrom door open for the cat to freely pass.Then moments afterwards I went from the bathroom to the kitchen to wash the dishes. The cat who entered appeared, unusual enough it seemed "quite active" and approached me hurriedly. First it went to rub itself against my legs, I thought it just wanted to greet me. Then I went inside my bedroom (it followed suit, hurriedly). It was there it attacked my right leg (I had the black obsidian in my right side pocket)! It used it paws to anchor to my legs and then bit me with its fangs in a snap. Then it stepped back, I was in a state of shock. Then minutes after I sent it out of my house.. I really felt bad.. Now I am thinking.. Did the black obsidian have somoething to do with what happened? Was it, like, the bad karma I received froom thinking hate towards that person, and the crystal just hastened the karma process? :( Can crystals ever do these things to the wearer? Ever since I began to keep the black obsidian along side my pillow, I began to have nightmares actually the things and people that bothers in my waking life visits me in my dreams they began to mock me and try to harm me, they make me feel low in my dream. I've been bothered by such dreams lately, I've been waking up with the feeling of disgust, so I woke up today cleansed myself with sage and kept the black obsidian on my left hand and prayed for protection,I felt well after that, I believe I should not keep it next to my pillow while sleeping, since it's a new experience plz help me how to work with it because I need this black Obsidian the most in my life. Nice video, Adam. I use black obsidian for protection in conjunction with Mica as i find this combo works great for me personally in terms of deflecting negative thoughtforms and unwanted energies. I have tried black tourmaline but it wasn't as effective for me even though it has a nice grounding effect. I also wear a black obsidian arrow pendant and i have noticed it brings up truth in a rather blunt way. Being a fire sign myself (moon and sun) i do not mind this at all, i appreciate it. I like to combine snowflake obsidian (worn on the left wrist) with black obsidian, it seems to do a great job as cooling down my emotional reaction to unpleasant truths. I acually bought a 2 piece yin & yang black obsidian necklace recently (a his /hers set for when i find "the one") one shows a dragon (my fave animal) other one a phoenix and i am a capricorn (earth sign) (ruled by saturn) i knew i felt a connection when i first held them in my hands

Following your logic, try scrying with a piece of obsidian using dragonsblood incense either nearby or between you and the mirror. "Smoke and mirrors" also relates back to native lore in the americas to do with magic, doorways and the underworlds, etc. Do remember to close a door after you leave. :D Also, in Egypt it was the tool used to make the only cut in the body for mummification, so even there it has underworld ties.
Idk about anyone else, but I noticed that when I get angry enough to engage in habits that are actually self-harmful, my obsidian necklace seems to get this rather intense heat about it, and it feels like its burning my skin...

8:27PM I actually am Gemstone Sphere gazing at Black Obsidian Sphere sitting atop Purple Flame Aura Quartz to feel The guilt (Traumatic Prolonged Grief Disorder) over a man I love who died from Overdose, and I have been gaining insight from the meditation. I love him so much!!! I just need to go through my full emotions to own them, including & especially guilt, and i feel that Black Obsidian Sphere is helping with that! What do you think Adam? Black obsidian is one of my birth crystals, but it makes me so depress. As soon as i realized that it was making me super depressed, i took it off after only 2 days
