This is a great song, but look at the way that Anne Bancroft played that role so realistically, and so well. Every line and every expression on her face is done perfectly. It's amazing.
Fresh music from two of the best voices and harmony, and singing about a common story for a lot of youngers around the world! At my 61 years old, I´m still a young boy!
This is music forever, for centuries, for everybody snd anybody. Love is since 1970 when l heard it for the firsr time and will love it always... 👍👍👍 🇷🇺 Moscow, Russia
One of my goals, when saw that movie back in '67, was to drive an Alfa convertible across the Golden Gate with Mrs. Robinson on the radio. But by the time I got out to that part of the world I was pushing 30 Alfas left the American market. I had a crappy interview for an Airline Pilots job in Fresno and didn't want to hang around so I rented a car and drove the SF to fly back home. I got to drive over the bridge, Simon and Garfunkel on the CD player the car was a Toyota Camry. My employer asked how did it go I told him the whole thing, and we then when out for a steak dinner. A week later I got checked out in the Beech 99 and I flew that airplane for 6 years. All in all, it worked out pretty well. Never been back to SF, Fishermans Wharf was pretty good I had a fresh barbecued salmon and some clam chowder.
Watching this video reminds me just how excellent of a performance Anne Bancroft gave in The Graduate. And what young man wouldn't have wanted to have their own Mrs. Robinson?
I love this song. In school my senior year I fell in love with my History teacher who was one beautiful woman. Although we went in different directions we still talk. She is still one of my most trusted sounding boards. She is still a so fine lady.
@@petesaria-hf1xh I respectfully disagree. There were a lot of prudish, moralizing people in 1967, both religious and non-religous, who couldn't handle The Graduate. Nowadays it's considered pretty tame.
I came home from college for the summer in my Freshman year... and met my own Mrs. Robinson... WHAT A SUMMER!.. One of the most exciting and educating experiences of my life... I hated to go back to school the next year..
Perfectly portrayed the Graduates of 1969......I felt the same way as Dustin....no freakin idea of what I wanted to do with EVERYONE expecting you to have your whole life mapped out,10 minutes after you graduated.....I am 73 today and STILL arent sure what I want to do.......Pretty sure I wanted Elaine though ..................
Robinson is the catastrophe in the movie; it wrecks Benjamin life, takes him from an innocent graduate to an adulterous, lowlife, cheater, so it's best if you didnt have a Robinson in your teens, in your real life I mean; Bancroft acts her character with perfection
It comes from the time when I was young, full of dreams and thinking that I could rule the world. Dreams went out, but this song keeps on doing my head and my heart.

what do you think of the society the young people are living in today?
@@as123ferrdi8 I believe they are missing out, the 60's 70's & 80's was a time when the young went out face to face to enjoy the moments..
Anne Bancroft is one of the most underrated actresses ever. Pure brilliance in this role.
im soryy mrs rObinsin
I totally agree😉😉
AND DUSTIN HOFFMAN, OTHER ACTOR BRILLANT,
You're either very young or very out-of-it. Anne Bancroft has always been deservingly regarded as among a handful of shining stars in the industry.
Bert Ward (Robin from Batman) was offered the part but they wouldn't let him out of his contract.@@marcosteixeiradarosar5269
Every young man should experience a Mrs. Robinson in his youthful life!
Or a Mr Robinson.

Most young guys would love to have a Mrs Robinson!
Most young Guys might get more than they bargained for!
LOL - most would be so scared, they wouldn’t know what to do with her!🤯

The camera work of Anne Bancroft putting on her stocking is masterful.

Ann Bancroft really was beautiful women. She died way to soon! Mel Brooks loves her to this day.
The Graduate is 25 years ahead of its time, hands down.
And yet it's of it's time. Crazy.
The graduate was right on its time. Obviously, you're too young to get that.

Had Anne Bancroft not played Mrs. Robinson, the latter would have faded from people’s memories.
Thinking of you, Anne.
Great song from the good old days
One of the best cast movies of all time. The music was good too.
Liberals promoting incest, boo! And the music is pedophile rock. Boo! on that too.

The graduate was a great movie, I was a teenager when this movie came out. I was 14 when I met Barbara cowsill in a hotel, What an experience.
