The problem with this endless blame game is that, whatever the rights or wrongs, it does nothing to move us forward. We need to clearly identify the issues and have open discussion about how to arrive at answers and bring sides together. There is a desperate need for honesty and the encouragement of openess. Ideas and analysis and meeting half way.
We need solutions not blame now. The adversarial politics that we adhere to in this country means that nothing gets resolved and nothing is done. Nothing. Factions develope with increasing aminosity and end up with recourse to law. The constant blame game avoids the understanding of underlying issues and its proponents become as non contributary and adverserial as those they are seeking to address. We so desperately need a government with imagination and ideas. The jury is out on the present one but limiting free speech and not addressing the very real issue of perceived lack of fairness is going to be a very poor start.

The Southport stabbings were most certainly not "an act of madness"! An insane person would not target people out of his way, he would strike at those nearest to him, without discrimination. In a broad sense, this was clearly a politically motivated crime. I agree though, we will probably never find out the truth. Questions we should be demanding answers to include the political beliefs of Axel's parents. Did they have interactions with known political extremists. Is there anything in their social media or internet history which suggests that they believed themselves to be the victims of systemic racism? I'd bet anything that Axel was acting under the influence of some unknown agent provocateur. You already believe that the rioters were acting under the influence of agent provocateurs (Farage, Robinson, Tate), so it is hardly a "conspiracy theory"!

0:59 With all due respect Professor Wilson, it's not Tommy or Farage's jobs to call anybody off. The incident that kicked all this off had nothing to do with them and expecting them to call off something they had no control whatsoever is a bit short sighted imo. Tommy, Farage, Musk, none of this was due to them, it was all due to Government policy, or rather lack of enforcement of Government policy because it's more than just the Southport stabbings, it's Manchester Arena, it's London Bridge, it's the Kent stabbing. All of that is down to the Government, whether it was Labour or Tory, letting in people who are either not compatible with our country or have not done a good job at raising their children to be.

We all need to know exactly where we stand on what we can say and do regarding the law. Maybe that would quell some of the uneasy feelings that are decending on the nation.

I fear you are missing the major point here, that these acts and statements were not motivated by themselves, but by mis- and disinformation orchestrated by a foreign power whose interest it is to cause division and conflict in Western democracies. When people's actions and statements mirrors that of foreign powers, be aware. It could be because mis- and disinformation directed towards those people have been able to manipulate them. Or even because their benefactors have instructed them what to say and what opinions to advocate. From Brexit, to the yellow wests in France, to now the English riots what they all three have in common is Russian orchestrated influence and mis- and disinformation. It has to be said involving RT directly made this attempt more sloppy than the two others, where very few discovered how independent Brits and French people were influenced by bogus and misleading information without realizing that was what was going on.
We are living, and have been for decades, in a world where we cannot trust the news anymore. Not because the news sources in themselves are dishonest, but because anything from powerful states, companies and individuals are. Israel lies about what is going on in Palestinian areas, and goes after anyone presenting a different story than their lies. They recently revoked diplomatic protection from several Norwegian diplomats as punishment for Norway recognizing the Palestinian state. They constantly claim their attacks killing civilians to be justified because they hunt for Hamas terrorists, but yet have to identify any Hamas terrorist being taken out in any of the raids killing many innocent civilians. Most of the senior terrorist leaders have been found and killed abroud, lastly in Teheran, or in individual attacks on property belonging to the targets themselves. There is hard to find, other than Israeli claims, that Hamas terrorists are hiding among civilian refugees. The typical tell tell signs of combating individuals: weapon, supplies, communication and sometimes transport, haven't been discovered in the ruins from such attacks.. Such should have been present, had the claims of terrorists hiding among civilians been truthful.
For legal reasons I find it best not to be too detailed about companies and individuals in regard to mis- and disinformation. In today's digital world they could easily find me, and some of them might not bother with the courts to get back at me.

Not all living 'Across the Pond', are familiar with Tommy Robinson. After listening to the speech he gave at the Oxford Union, he comes across as reasonable, not radical. As a small child my parents took me to various local towns for Saturday Markets, including his home town of Luton occasionally. I remember Vauxhall Motors, and the big lot full of brand new cars gleaming in the sunlight. Seemed like a different world from how he described it now. Can't say I was ever a fan of Farage, or in favour of being in the EU in the first place, but anyone who comes up with a solution to prevent riots and solve issues peacefully has potential.
Wasn't Tony Blair in power when Dr. John Kelly, predicted his own death and was found murdered? The present Prime Minister's behaviour is shocking to put it mildly. If the UK is trying to threaten those who post on websites, even if they are outside the UK, it would seem both pointless and a tad expensive to attempt to extradite people back to the UK for behaviour allowed in their own countries. Elton Musk, must be having a chuckle at that one! Although he is said to have twelve children to support, he likely has no worries when it comes to defending himself in any Court of Law!

Well-founded criticism of Nigel Farage or Tommy Robinson that makes any sense or holds any water seems notably absent.
