Grant I still have my 1984 Wooldridge Classic! It must have been a design before it's time, because here in the South, people gather around it as if a UFO landed!!! They've never seen anything like it!!! 🤣

Thank you, Grant, I Love Wooldridge Boats. I want one, and my birthday is coming up! Perfect for the rocky shores of the rivers and 10,000 lakes in Minnesota Deep thoughts: hp/torque dif between the propeller and jet boat? Fowling? Springtime lots of junk in the water
@@WooldridgeBoats sorry to hear about that but they have had problems with the eco boost motor in there cars for years and they just won’t fix it it when you look at their cars the dealer will tell you it’s been taken care of and is no longer a problem but that is not true you go looking for a motor that is good power and economy and it’s junk and they wonder why people buy Toyota try the 2.5 Toyota in other countries it’s the motor they use
It's all at the end of the video. Also, the engine RPM is kept down to 4150 (engine peak is 4800) so the actual power output (from Indmar curve) is about 260. It says 47 mph.
I wonder if Ford's new drop in electric crate motor would fit in the back. Replace the gas tank and some of the flotation foam under the deck with batteries. Just a silly thought after seeing that awesome EcoBoost in there.
That boat performed better than I thought it would . Set it up with catfish gear and go . I need a price quote and what options you offer on this boat . Maybe even 24 or 26 foot ?
@@Gduuub that still begs the question why no one’s done it. There’s millions of boats with non marine engines. I’m in Alaska where it’s common to just grab an engine and swap. But I can’t find anything on someone doing it with a 3.0 or 3.5 ecoboost engine. My assumption is that exhaust manifold heat is to much so far.
@@jonjackinsky1002 It not being marinized is an easy answer to why no one done it, at least from a manufacturers POV. Coast guard regulations are pretty detailed. There are ZERO Wooldridge boats that leave the factory without a marinized engine so i assume you are speaking of other brand manufacturers that release boats with not marinized engines. If a guy wanted to experiment with boat projects he was building in his garage for fun, it would be one thing as he can technically do whatever he wants. I imagine this is probably the case in Alaska as lots of folks enjoy modifying their boats during the winter. But someone who is a manufacturer building to resell and meeting all CG standards its a different story. Does not matter how exciting that engine is if it makes the process more troublesome. So you should be asking this question of the Marinizing companies Like Indmar.
@@gckshea for the river applications it probably works well but without a vee, it will be rough in heavy chop. That boat would beat the crew in 1-2 foot chop from where I’m at. But where you are it probably does good.
Were not encouraging night running, we just want to give folks a safer option than a hand held spot light if they come back later than planned. Sometimes the hunt or landing the fish takes longer than expected and you get back to the launch with less than ideal light for loading the boat. Many launches don't have lights so seeing the beach and trailer better in those situations with a light bar on the nose is extremely helpful. thanks for watching.
Still rocking my 23' AK XL. Been all over Alaska, 1000's of hours, 2 motors, many animals, many memories and many more to come!
Love it!!! send some pics over to info@wooldridgeboats.com
Thank you for the tour. Great looking boat, would come in handy for Minnesotas rocky shores
that little 2.3 really is the way to go. Ford did good with those eco engines. Gotta tip your hat

That is the most thoughtfully engineered boat I’ve ever seen!

I tip my hat to you sir, the boats you produce are world class!!

I love love LOVE my Wooldridge Super Sport Drifter! Favorite boat I've ever owned! Thanks for building such an epic watercraft!
@@WooldridgeBoats absolutely, I'm hooked. Keep making great content!
That is an intersting little engine and impressive fuel economy.
Man..That thing performs like a little rocketship on the water!!
@2:50 he demonstrates rod storage and says it feels nice and great. Well done.
LOVE this reminds me of my JetCraft 16' but better

LOVIN' the beard! Can't wait to snag a Wooldridge up here in AK.
very cool, nice boat
Sweet Ride
Is that throttle/bucket control lever setup a proprietary wooldridge part or is that out on the market somewhere? Really like that setup.
What is the difference between the 20 foot XL and XP inboard?
That is a super nice boat but you really blew it with the Ford eco boost all the ec boost motors have block and head gasket failure

can you get the boat in a 7' or 8' beam??
Can these go in salt water occasionally?
Nice
Nice set up! I wish we could hear more of the engine. Do you know top speed and cruise speed and fuel economy?

Does that say 310 horsepower?
I'd love to see it with a top and seats.
Anything In Virginia?
Where can I get one?
So thats a closed system engine? no lake water needed to cool it?
@@WooldridgeBoats is the coolant cooling system self draining?
Curious why no one seems to be doing this with the 3.0 or the 3.5?
Indmar has not marinized those ones yet.

It would have been nice to hear the boat to see how loud it is and such instead of the music blaring.
Nice boat but flat a front probably makes it a rough ride.
The flat front is not below the water line. Has nothing to do with any ride qualities.

Might I suggest not encouraging people to run at night with their docking lights on. Not only is it illegal, it blinds other boaters.
