Glad you figured it out, and for the price, you can't really complain... might be the Fluances that are either fucking around with the Phase or they have some sort of filter preventing it to go that low
Good news about the sub, unfortunate your Fluances aren’t working correctly tho. Do they have any type of crossover settings? I purchased the Dayton 10” low profile sub for my Sisters 5.1 setup and I am pretty happy with it. It doesn’t dig super low, but works perfect for her since she cares more about ascetics than performance. It just hides in the corner and does its subwoofer thang!
Did you ever figure it out? I'm looking to add a sub to a pair of powered bookshelf speakers without a sub out (Audiophile/Gaming setup). So DAC to Amp to Sub to Powered Speakers. The rca inputs and rca outputs with crossover are the main selling points of this sub to me. Zeos from Z reviews goes into it when reviewing the Edifier T5 and comparing it to the move expensive Emotiva subs. When I saw your first review I wondered if you had it connected wrong since you said you went out from your speakers to the sub. I guess I'll place an order and find out in a few days.
@@Kpaceguy Sorry for the lack of clarity, but I wonder if you connected your source to the subs inputs and then out to your monitors if that would solve any issues you had. The sub Xover would then control what frequencies are sent to your monitors and they could not interfere with what frequencies the sub sees.
@@Kpaceguy good evening my friend im new to home theater i have a question. Im considering building one of those flat pack subs. I was going to take the passive route and purchase an external amp my question for you is if i have a sony dh790 receiver with no pre amp section but it does have 2 subwoofer rca ports can i run a passive sub and amp through those?

Thanks for this!
Thanks for watching!
I'd use it with bookshelves but a 8". the fluance drivers may be too small, so they may not reach down to 12" maybe? Or amp?
Thank bro. Excellent
Is there any crossover settings on your bookshelves
Nope nothing just a sub out
What did you set your gain and crossover at?
Crossover is always set to max because the receiver handles the Crossover which is set to 120hz. Volume I don't remember

It's my monitor speakers not the sub. So you should be ok

Boom there you go.
I have a Monoprice sub thats blowing fuses soon as plug it in, can you help
Is there a voltage switch? If not then you have a bad amp
@@Kpaceguy thank you sir

@William Torbert if you find an amplifier with rca inputs yes. I'll be reviewing an amplifier that I think you'll like here in the next few days
@@Kpaceguy what is the name of the amp, i need a 2 channel i want to build 2 15inch subs so it would would have to be able to power those
