And I find you to be very grown and diplomatic, instead of being overly negative, when it comes to products you don't care for. I'm sure I'm not the only one who admires you for that too. But we for sure know you're not going to name a product as a favorite if it is not a favorite. We know you have good integrity. Not to mention, I'm sure many of us care about you and other favorite influencers to the point we don't want you to go broke buying too much makeup, and we don't want to think of you overwhelmed with a hoard of makeup cluttering your space. 🦋🧡🦋

This is really what I wanted to see. I don’t want to see almost 100 palettes and quads mixed together and someone talking about I don’t like the colors and only like browns and now pinks but I always wear pinks and Pat is flopping but you always have on a Pat or PMG Lab inspired color story but use a little indie here and there… CHIIIIIII thank you for getting it right for me! Also, I do prefer the PMG Labs foundation on you based on my preference on soft focus satin looks

I would just pair it with similar looking mattes. You can take a neutral tone, slap it on your lid and crease, and tap on the patina shade, as an example!

Thank you for including items that arent new in 2023 - personally i want to know what's best not just what's new. Ulta & sephora can tell me what's new, but i need honest guides to help me spend my money wisely, esp on high end complexion products. I dont want to spend hours thinking about makeup, so if i do decide to upgrade my concealers, for instance, i want one that has been around for years, likely to stay around, and tested for more than a year. Ive heard enough about the ND one, i do feel like heritage brands like Lancôme really do deliver when they have a hit, and you can rely on it for years. My goal for 2024 is to find my best complexion & "basic" products, and be able to repurchase my basics as needed & on sale, without thinking about should i try something new or different?
Exactly, and why I bought the Lancôme. Because some products are solid for YEARS. And when it comes to complexion, the brands that have the most money have the leverage to invest in their color science. And since Lancôme has been in the game forever, their shade range is immaculate.

I've been doing a low-buy for over a year now, and it's fine. I have a ton of great stuff to get through, I'm just a regular person and I don't need every shiny new release. I did get the Danessa Myricks Groundwork palette to set up really colorful looks and for nice no-make up makeup looks as well. I use it almost everyday when I wear make-up. I also love the Lancome Teint Idole concealer for quick spot coverage all over the face and out the door. Happy and Merry to you!

I always appreciate a curated favorites list. The truth is you can only wear so much in a year or before expiration. You are going to want to wear the best. So when I see a huge beauty favorite list from someone who is only applying to their own face, it doesn't read authentic. Makeup artists I understand need a wide range of products in their kit for different clients' needs and demands.
Right, and why I didn’t buy the larger complexion palettes. Because as you said, to have so many different shades for just my face was over doing it. I tried to stick with the products that I knew I would use over and over again!
Thoroughly enjoyed this Alicia and hearing your thoughts. Similarly to you (in a way), I've tried to enjoy a lot of my collection and be more thoughtful in what I purchase. I'm at a point in my life where I know what I like/don't like and what works/doesn't work (for the most part) and just cannot justify jumping on every new release without careful consideration. This year, I've made a few poor purchases that are just sitting unused and that is just not okay. Appreciate the time you spend in your reviews and always enjoy when you upload. Tanseido AQ20 + Pat McGrath Divine Blush in Paradise Venus is the pairing to put all other pairings to shame, almost unbelievably perfect! I thought for sure you would say Sonia G’s Sheer Buffer was your fave brush of the year but I am So Glad to see the AQ20 getting the spotlight😍✨🫡✨

I suggest starting with P5 in the Natasha denona concealer. We are close in skintone and p6 is too dark but the undertone is great for the under eye.

Not at all- Suqqu has more coverage and is creamier. The Dew Drop is more like a tint.
