Luke's tattoo is insane, i can't believe how well it covered up the old one!
The artists really did a great job
OMG!!!! The tattooist (Asao) showing you the book is the same woman who tattooed me and my girlfriends in 2018 when we visited Japan!!! She did such an incredible job!!!!
Small world
As someone who's always contemplated on getting a tatt, this was really satisfying for me to watch
how many comments do you have?
Same :/ would love a sleeve with just a bunch of personal tats
Pp
Mind me asking, if you did get one, what would it be? Basic af answer but Id love a joestar birthmark on my back
WOW a I seee you every where
I like how straight to the point Aki is with her videos. She didn't drag out what tattoo she got, or make a huge reveal, she just told us right away. Thanks for all you do, Aki!
My wife and I love getting tattoos as celebrations for occasions. We want to get tattoos when we visit Japan, but as still slightly worried about the implications.
i get the impression you spend most of your time waiting for youtube notifications.
What do you mean by implications?
@@BlackHayateTheThird Maybe that tattoos are associated with the yakuza in japan
@@alabamaslammer3921 Considering it sounds like they already have tattoos, getting another one in Japan wouldn't change anything lol.
Will we ever get a tattoo reveal?
Their new tattoos really fit the two’s personalities and vibes! They look stunning Aki ☺️☕️
That tattoo is absolutely beautiful. Even if I don't know the meaning I can tell it's very precious to you because you got it as a tattoo, I'm personally scared of pain and needles so I will probably never get at tattoo but I'm happy you did and went through that process and I hope your happy with the design you have! ☺
I have 3 tattoos and I can't wait to get more to express what is important to me. I have an Egyptian one, a leprechaun because that's what my mother-in-law used to call me and a skull with butterflies to signify life from death.
You think the pain is WAY worse than it really is. If you find a good artist, they'll be willing to do a dry run of sorts, just a few passes without ink to give you an idea of where it falls on your personal pain scale.
For me both the sensation and the sound of the machine is super soothing and relaxing so it's not a issue for me, but I'd warn anyone new to avoid taking breaks unless your artist needs one for their hands/heath ect. Stopping snaps you out of the rhythm and gives your body a chance to mount a big response.
If you ever want a tatoo there are plenty of temporary solutions that do not require any needles
@@Serasesera for me the tattoo gun sound reminds me that it's gonna sound worse than it feels.
I feel like it gets worse as it goes, but it's more... annoying than painful. It helps me to have an artist than can move to a different part of the tattoo when one spot gets to be too much. Having a distraction also helps a lot!
@@lauraventicinque532 well i do know my mom would put flower tattoos or a dragon tattoo.
It’s so gorgeous!! Love the blue theme of your tattoos🥰💙💙💙 Luke’s looks amazing too🤩
Let’s not lie, Aki is ROCKIN that tattoo-
👍🏻
@@justinsyrup6075 👍
it’s so pretty!! it goes so well with the dainty flower tattoo too (*˙˘˙)♡
@@becchiscorner wait is it okay to go to tokyo with a tattoo like that.Still scared if they consider me a yakuza.
@@samuraiboi2735 they are not what stories says omg why do u think shes doing the tattoo ...
people think of Japanese as some kind of scarred kittens ... dudes wake up the 80's ended there when the 90's came .... maybe some old timers will be scarred but young population will think ure cool (dude it is the country that thinks being alcoholic is cool like literally they get drunk cus of beign cool)
It's actually reassuring to hear Aki say how much it hurts 😅 as someone who has never had a tattoo and have a low pain tolerance, I can only imagine!!!
I am the same when it comes to pain, but having 3 tats myself it's so worth it!
Honestly it depends on the person, I got a tattoo at a very young age and it didn't hurt for me, but then others say that there's hurt so yeah
Depends on the area and the color. Not speaking from experience lol
(I've heard white hurts the most lol)
Like Socks said, it depends on the area. For example, the armpit area (which is where Aki got part of hers) is so painful that some tattoo artists prefer not to tattoo their clients there and sometimes advise against it. The only other places as painful as the armpit area are the rib cage, ankles, shins, nipples and breasts.
@@mohronec just curious, do you know which area is the least painful to get a tattoo? I just wanted to know, sorry for the bother, haha
As someone with A LOT of tattoos, it’s really nice knowing people in Japan with a lot of tattoos (multiple friends that live there with full bodysuits) and they know all the dope private onsens so I never feel like I’m missing out when I visit Japan
Aki this is such a beautiful tattoo! It’s heartwarming to know that it’s related to something you enjoy to reflect on from your own childhood, and i admire the fact that you have gotten a tattoo in Japan. It’s so inspiring and encouraging for others who have or want tats that feel as if they can’t visit Japan or other countries with social stigmas such as this. Thank you for uploading this, we’re so grateful to you!!!💜
I got 4 tattoos at studio muscat by an artist named haruka :) she is absolutely wonderful to work with! Can't wait for this pandemic to pass so I can go back :)
I got a tattoo from haruka too! She’s absolutely amazing :).
I used to do tattoos for about 15 years. Unfortunately I developed a condition that I had to find another way to make an income. It's so nice to see appreciation of the art. Especially in Japan.
Edit: it was so hard to read the subtitles, because I was watching the art. 😅
I have a bunch of giant and colorful game and anime tattoos and I'm not ashamed of them. I probably wouldn't be able to live normally in Japan (not that I want to). As tourists I don't think we have anything to be worried about...I also don't think they'd care as much if you're foreign looking anyway? Aki's new tattoo looks so beautiful! Hopefully someday they will be more accepted in Japan.
Even if you're foreigner you'll have limited access to some stuff
As a foreigner in Korea, my tattoos almost got me kicked out of an experience stay at a Buddhist temple. 🤣 Someone saw them and reported it to one of the head monks. I'd imagine Japan has areas even more strict. 😅
This has officially inspired me to get a tattoo dedicated to my living great grandmother (my guardian since i was a baby). Love you Aki! It’s super pretty.
Love the connection with your flower and the fan with the blue! I've always loved the Japan-ish styled tattoos
AHHH A PIERCING NOW A TATTOO I SHALL LIVE VICARIOUSLY THROUGH AKI
When did she get the tattoo
My husband and I had appointments at Studio Muscat in March of 2019, even already paid our deposit, and then Covid hit. We’ve moved our trip to March 2021 and now 2022 and the folks at the studio have been wonderful about letting us reschedule each time and letting our deposit ride. ❤️. Hubbie has an appointment with Eji and I’m sitting for Masa. We are praying we can be there. All the artists there do incredible work!
Such a stunning tattoo! She did an amazing job, Aki. If I ever get to Japan (my Son was supposed to take me, but he quit his job and is using the savings for a house) I'll definitely go there. Tattoos for me take away the crippling back pain and I get an adrenaline rush whenever I get tattooed. If I wasn't on disability, I'd probably have full sleeves by now. It's expensive to get the best tattoo artist design and do the tattoo; but so worth it. My father was dead set against tattoos so not long after he died, I was getting a memorial tattoo. I hope wherever he is, he approves of it. 😉
oh thank god, the honkers are still clean
To be honest, tattoos can mean a lot of things and I do adore how the place put in effort and how well they coloured the tattoo as well. And then along with that, your parent’s approved of it. In total, the whole video is extremely heart touching along with the art.
Honestly that shade of blue is so 💙 damn pretty. I love the way it looks. I wish I had the money and enough pain tolerance to get some nice tattoos as well.
Aki just becoming Yakuza member Ez
I will never understand how someone could look at something like those two beautiful pieces of art and assume you guys are troublemakers. They're GORGEOUS!!!
When going to Japan, a friend of mine explained about tattoos there and a bit of history, and he ended up getting one and I've gotta say.... The results were a masterpiece
Here before 1 minute
Ayyy another bean
@@broimagine1215 i was so happy when this popped up
Aki's tattoo is so pretty
Like, that blue color is such a gorgeous blue!!
Are Tattoo’s in Japan looked less down upon now as opposed to 10-20 years ago? I do heard that some hot springs don’t allow them cuz of Yakuza connections
it's slowly going down and getting more accepted
Some hot springs won't let you in if you have tattoos, unless it's small or in a hidden place. People don't mind as much in Tokyo now though
They would let you in! They have special patches to cover them. But yeah, some of them won't let you in, even with a patch. It's also not just because of yakuza, its also because in taisho era (I believe) The japanese government became more western, and in traditional japan tattoos were used more often. they banned them temporarily, but some still look down! But yeah, its more accepted now.
Finally im useful for something other than people saying 'r u korean?'
@@Yokari-bz5uq ohhh yea forgot the patches/bandaids you can wear too
@@Yokari-bz5uq r u Korean?
Jk jk lol
Love the video keep up the great work aki
Thanks for studio recommendation, great work indeed, looks amazing 😻
When my family and I lived in Japan my mom got a few tattoos, she had already had quite a lot. When we went to this one waterpark she was required to cover them all lol
Edit: btw we lived in Okinawa at the time! The tats my mom got while we were there was a dragon sleeve and a tattoo dedicated to my grandmother I believe.
i wonder what you're meant do if you've got full sleeves and legs. I just imagine you have to wear big socks which is very funny to me
Military?
@@destinationskyline07 yep
@@bigmanmccheez5342 my mom has full sleeves on both arms, she had to wear long sleeved rashgaurd. She doesn't have any on her legs though now I'm thinking about the socks too lmao
aki going hashira mode with her concentration breathing
What a gorgeous and elegant tattoo: I love how you took the time to find and create a meaningful design.
Awesome design 💙
I love it ! Looks so pretty and suits you so well
Awww proud of you for sitting as well as you did considering how much pain you were in! The tattoo is absolutely stunning🖤💙
That's so beautiful Aki! I love the story behind it too! Luke's is also great!
Congrats Aki! It looks absolutely beautiful! ❤ That's what takes the longest is finding someone to trust with your body!
Looks so good
I LOVR YOUR TATTOO SO MUCH! IT LOOKS GREAT ON YOU!
loved watching your japanese tattoo studio experience :))
Absolutely beautiful tattoos, both of them. As someone who got almost my entire back tattoo this summer, i can relate to Aki's pain. I personally had 2 giant sakura branch "wings" tattooed on each side of my spin, going all the way down to my lower back. When the artist got closer to my spin, i swear to god i could have cussed so badly, but i also just had to enter a place of zen like Aki, where you dont say anything, you dont move, you just consentrate on your breathing, its the only way you can get through it, because that shit hurts! But the result is so beautiful.. I got my branches as a reminder that life is short, and that we need to remember to live it to the fullest, and even tho its sad sometimes, life got so much beauty in it. Getting that tattoo as a tribute to your mom is so wonderful. I love tattoos who has a meaning, and isnt just a "Oh i thought it looked cool".
IT LOOKS SO GOOD!! i'm so happy for you!
Really diggin your new edgier style, suits ya. Happy holidays.
So pretty! I love the way the fan flows with your arm! 💖
They both came out so well. That blue is absolutely stunning on your skin tone Aki 😻

It’s beautiful Aki!!! Definitely post updates for when it’s all healed!
Aki, your tattoo is beautiful! I love the blue florals, it reminds me of that delft blue you often see in porcelain. Also, the placement is perfect and the strand going onto your arm makes it super feminine. Sorry if I ramble, but I can't get over how lovely it turned out!
