She's a great singer and songwriter and a great actress. She's so perfect. All what Selena does, is perfect.
I go both ways with her, she can't sing to save her life, but rewatching some Wizards clips she is a really good comedic actress. Her timing is spot on.

I don't understand how you can separate Alex Russo the TV character from Alex Russo the (movie made for) TV character. Alex Russo is #1, for more than just "it skyrocketed her career." Selena was always destined to be this big star, that was just her first step.

Linda Heartrize Alex for #9 was the movie. The movie wasn't in the storyline for the show, but it was another adventure. Alex for #1 was for the show. The show was a hit for Disney and opened many more opportunities for the young actors involved (Selena Gomez, David Henrie, etc). The movie was just an addition, not part of the storyline.

maxine chan I don't know if you meant to reply to me, but the Alex vs Alex movie was also an additional movie. Yes, it was after the show finished, but it didn't affect the storyline. It was just a little revamp/extra for those fans who loved the show. Personally, I didn't really enjoy Alex vs Alex because, well I just didn't, but it was just an addition, just like The Wizards of Waverly Place the Movie.
Lorenozone I don't think they don't know what these movies are... I think they're asking why the same character (yes, it's the same even if it's in two different shows) has been put twice in this.

Not to relate her back to Disney, but Wizards of Waverly place was her best acting.
A lot of things you can watch and think "Oh this person could have played it better." But not on Wizards. Selena is the only person who can make Alex Russo work that well!
