This song has a "you're almost there, keep it up!" sort vibe to it, and i love it for that
I remember my first time to this level. I was young and was thinking " Oh, man! this is the bad guy's world! This level is gonna be scary" Waited for like a minute before I manned up enough to go through the portal. Get there to find a sunny place with this cheery music playing. Needless to say, I felt foolish.
It's like the further you get into this game, the cooler the music gets...
+Dmitri Franco
You seem to like those musics as much as me Dmitri :p
I think you'll be interested to hear the covers I'm planning to make on Stewarts Spyro musics with my old Roland RD500 keyboard!
Tmwmf Yeah, definitely! And remember what I said about these 'mood swings' I go through with these songs? Well my newest craving is Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer. Again, don't know I like it so much all of a sudden, but I do.
Music is related to every bit of emotion you have, and the mood is a great factor. It's a game you played when you were a kid (I suppose), so it helps reminiscing what you felt like the first time.
Those mood swings will come and go, as you said, so you'll never know why ;)
Let's keep it this way
+Tmwmf I never actually thought about it in that much detail, but that sounds about right!
Tmwmf By the way I have a piano in my room also, so I could probably figure out how to play these on the piano too... if I wanted to take the time to do it. I mean I wouldn't be able to make anything spectacular but I'd be able to come up with something that sounds like the actual music.
The stage and the music really gives me the feeling that the ending is near
Then you realize you've got one more level afterwards that makes it the not so end.
In a good way as well which is nice because most final boss levels usually have quite a dark, intense and intimidating theme
This is my favorite stage in the game, you almost to the end and replay it again and again.
Wow. This music is amazing.
Am i the only one who thinks the gnorcs in this level look extremely similiar to the ballonists?
This music is legendary, I will never forget what this music has implanted in my mind. The memories of being a child, I gotta play Spyro at every now and then.
It's cool that i had a good dream about this level and i was there and other people and characters
If Insomniac decided to make another Spyro that was left off from the first 3 with old school graphics I think I would cry in joy. Anyone else ?
Fuck yes! I wish that would happen. or they should take the first spyro and redo the graphics make it more up to date but keep everything the same. the music and levels.
If Sony ever decide to buy the rights to Crash and Spyro, I'd say they should have Sanzaru Games develop their future titles. After seeing how well versed they were at staying true to Sucker Punch's work with the Sly Cooper Series (And even making some great improvements and new additions to the Sly Formula) with Thieves in Time, I'd say they're pretty reliable candidates to revive Crash and Spyro. Maybe they should make HD Collections for the original trilogy of each respective series to get an idea of what they could do with the both of them, as they did with Sly, first.
+Nicole Bonnett , There is actually a Spyro fan made game being made and it is titled: "Spyro the dragon Eclipse." It has to do with the original series and the animation of it is amazing! :D There are process videos of it on CZcams and there are also soundtracks of the portals. Artistan's Home world is featured. The soundtrack is different but it sounds very pretty. The game will actually be available to buy.
this is the best music in the game period
What I love so much about this song is that every Flight level you do you can literally hear parts leading to this song.
Like it's weak at Sunny Villa and it gets so much stronger the closer you get until you hit Icy Flight.
Gnorc Cove is My favorite Music from Spyro 1, its one of the Most Wonderful Music I Ever heard in My life, Thank You Stewart Copeland 🧡🧡🧡
This level kinda reminded me of Toxic Waste from Crash Bandicoot
The image of the balloonist's big brother in his underpants is forever etched into my brain.
That strong beginning though.😍And tropical melody. Then the break down in the song. Copelands talented.
I just realized Cloud 9 from Enter The Dragonfly uses some sort of... motif that also appears in this track. Near the end of Cloud 9 you hear some organ thing going on, and it sounds similar to the organ in this track, but in a different key, and a different end.
(Thoomp) "HUGH" (Thoomp) "HUGH", "ARRGH" (Poof)
I'm glad I wasn't the only one paid waaay too much attention that. I would just sit and listen to that. The ones that stood on the barrels made funny sounds when you charged the barrels. (Then again ALL the monsters made funny ass noises. Especially the Gnorcs in Artisans Homeworld
This is incredible. Isn't it amazing the things music can do?
So you almost rescue all the dragons in 4 worlds and got all the treasure you obtained, now it's the road to face off the leader of the gnorcs, good luck Spyro
I loved the gnorc’s boxer xD
Love this stage it feels like you almost finish the game love the music in this plus those gnorcs are funny in their underwear
I remember the good old days with that game spyro..
This level reminds me of crates, containerships and popping up metal or explosive barrels!! XD
Such a good time was that.
This, Tree Tops, and High Caves have the same riffs.
My favorite part of this level: You light a TNT barrel before the Gnorc Dock Worker can grab it, and he'll be all like "Nope! Not grabbin' THIS!" before getting blown up. It's hilarious XD
I can hear early hints of Sunny Beach and Dragon Shores 🎶
My favorite level in the game :3
+CrimsonDemon45
I never enjoyed being here, it meant the game was about over. Although it was fun to play
I’m sorry I think this & Lofty Castle is my favorite stages in Spyro history. I was having WAY too much fun in this level.
Just hearing this song makes me think of how fun and awesome the whole game was from start to finish!
DUDE, I remember when I was little and I use to think that Gnasty and the things in the first home world were frogs, but heh now I know better. x)
Does anyone else think that this sounds more like something from Spyro 2, or is it just me?
repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat... SO EPIC. Good music in this great game and good music for playing minecraft :D
Endless Adventure Gaming I thought I was the only one who made this my Minecraft jam! :O
+Farhaan Ghani You are most definitely not alone! Spyro music fits great with so many other games!
Definitely one of the best songs of the game, hands down. And one of the many levels I love to replay over and over again ^_^
Gnorc Cove takes place somewhere in the middle of the Indian Ocean or the east coast off Nova Scotia.
According to the instruction manual, a Gnorc is a cross between a Gnome and an Orc.
Playing this game makes me want to make my own Spyro-ish levels if I was to make a video game
My favourite level in the game. The music and the atmosphere, everything is just perfect. in the ending I didnt want to leave the level.
Omg i want to listen the Reignited version of this song so badly!!
If you're on about my comment, I mean when several of those little guys standing on barrels are lined up in a row. You charge the first one (killing the first guy), and that barrel flies into the one behind it, blowing up that barrel and killing the next guy, which starts a chain of explosions until all the barrels blow up one after the other and all the enemies are taken out, sort of like a domino effect. I can't explain it any clearer than that, so this comment definitely makes sense :)
this song makes me happy man
So good.
brilliant music
Great music on this level.
Ram
*BOOM*
*Thoomp!*
Blowing up gnorcs with barrels, am I right? XD
BEST MUSIC EVER
love this^^
The word Gnorc is the fusion between Gnome and Orc
Gnome+Orc+bad attitude= Gnasty Gnorc
; )
This tune the beginning I always think of lion king dunno why just can’t wait to be king
is it just me or do you all hear a similar beat in the song dragon shores from spyro 2 in the beginning?
there was a fourth portal that could only be unlocked on that island after finishin the game anyone remember it? i used to walk right up to the closed dragon mouth, and adjust my camera angle until i could see through the dragon mouth and discovered the secret world was Gnorc's Loot, LOL
There is so much stuff going on at once
Awesome song, best of the game.
My favorite music from the game! I like this level becuz u had to jump over and knock all the barrels into the people to get to the end of the level... It was my mom's favorite level too, id always ask her if she wanted to play it when i got there
They may change the TNT to shoot out purple liquid...
I loved being able to take out several of those guys on barrels at once. Just charge the first one and they all blow up. That was awesome, just like this music. :D
@mariostar263
Tom Kenny also voiced Elmer Fudd's uncle and other minor characters in today's Loony Tunes cartoons.
i remember laughiing like a mad man wen i was bout 7 playing this level when launch the barrels at the big guys and it burns there clothes and u see their heart boxers XD ah simpler times
How come the 6th realm only had 3 stages while the other 5 had 4 stages plus a flight challenge.
Insomniac was gonna make the last world called "machinists" and would've had more levels, but dropped the idea due to time restraints.
***** Well I can understand that for Gnasty Gnorc. Wasn't much of a stage. But the other 5 bosses were way more stage than boss. The boss was kind of thrown at you at the end of the level mostly like ''oh yeah, there's also a boss. You'll kill him in 20 seconds don't worry''
***** You forgot about gnasty's Loot, the secret level at the end of the game.
Oh yeah, you have to find 2,000 gems and there's noting but yellow gems (worth 10 gems), and purple gems (worth 25 gems) throughout the entire stage.
Fave level fave music fave game what do i have to say more??
Some of the sounds in the music sound a bit like Idol Springs from Spyro 2...
5/5
This reminds me of Sinister Shadows from KH2
and why is this good?
I thought Gnorcs were more ''orc'' like. After all, they do have it in their names (GnORC).
Well that's because they are Orcs (and I knew that they are orcs cause the word Gnorc rhymes with Orc)
Anyone else feeling like playing Donkey Kong at the parts with the barrel-throwing gnorcs? :P
Adds a little donkey kong to it with the barrels but who cares spyro made it look nostalgic with the level.
Why Mriceman7's comment has so many thumbs downs I will never know, coz he's sort of right actually. I'll give him a thumbs up anyway :)
Hurgh!!! *Throws barrel*
This might sound easy but try counting to 99 on german while listening to this! >:)
ooooohhh my goodness!!! when i had to fight him and heard this music I GOT HYPED!!! lol and i would blast the music and TURN OFF THE FX's!!
DOUNGE
@MasterLadyGiygas
Because mostly anymore people want these kinds of games:
ACTION! KILLING! DEATH! FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!
I prefer older Spyro, I grew up on his games.
try doing the unlock all stages cheat and go on the balloon straight from artisans to gnasty's, i kno its an old comment but u might be still interested :D
Hey, didn't I already free you?
@jetiscute1 loool xDD You should not have said that ;) xx
donkey kong much?
Yeah, only that they are supposedly orcish-like in a way but otherwise no, those are Gnorcs, not humans.
Hallelujah hallelujah
Jump jump jump up and down
Church ⛪ organ playing
People sing 🎤 hallelujah
Dude that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Anyone else feeling like playing Donkey Kong at the parts with the barrel-throwing gnorcs? :P
Gnorc Cove is like a forgotten gem in Spyro 1. The music is so upbeat and the rhythm just keeps on going. One of my favorites along with Twilight Harbor
