- The city of Miami is a fantastic coastal town that is center for culture, commerce, arts and travel. Miami is one of the most visited cities in the United States and it is home to world renowned museums, stunning historic architecture and some of the best restaurants in the country. I spent the better part of a week in the city and visited everything from lighthouses and national parks to public art installations and art deco structures. While this is no means a complete guide to this famous city, here are some of my favorite things to do on a visit to Miami. Be sure to let me know what I left off in the comments.

Spent the last 34 years in south Florida, loved it, but l recently moved. Most important thing to remember, keep your head on a swivel, always read the room.
These are such excellent videos. I really appreciate the effort you put into them. They're so informative and honest about what you can see, what you should expect, how you should prepare, if they're wheelchair accessible, and if the effort and cost are worth it. And the visuals are always beautiful. I always look forward to them.
I used to travel to Florida/Miami only for so many years before i lost my heart to beautiful california in 2016. Since then I've never been there. Thanks for bringing back good old memories.
Fairchild is also home to a variety of festivals during the year - Chocolate, Mango, etc. during the holidays they also have an interactive light installation. And they often host Dale Chahuly glass pieces as well. If you love Fairchild, you need to visit the Kampong (which was the private home of David Fairchild). It’s located between the gardens and Vizcaya near Coconut Grove. Im so glad you visited History Miami! Such a great little museum.
That mansion definitely gives off Hearst Castle vibes. Such a varied list you created that everyone can find something they enjoy!

My hometown! I was an intern in summer 2000 at Fairchild and been to many of the other places mentioned numerous times.

@@CARIBLOVE Its not so much the areas to stay away from, its doing the right things and being smart while in Miami. Don't leave your valuables unattended. Don't leave your purse in plain site in your car. Think that everyone wants to take what you got. Me personally, I'm not a big fan of South Beach. Nice places to go to: Wynwood, Coconut Grove, City Place in Doral,

Great video of my hometown, but a few spots were missed: Lincoln Road in Miami Beach ; Brickell area next to Miami Circle - Downtown Miami ; Coconut Grove, Merrick Park, and Miracle Mile in the Coral Gables area ; The Biltmore Hotel next to Venetian Pool ; Crandon Park next to Bill Baggs State Park in Key Biscayne ; and lots of other attractions in the South Miami to Homestead area. Overall great video though, thank you very much.
I would agree. Coral Gables alone could take up a whole day! Coconut Grove is also great and so is the Downtown South Miami area. Lots of fun little places to grab some good eats!

Fun fact, when you bathe in the waters of Miami beach your in one of the corners of the Bermuda triangle. truly the Magic City.
You should definitely add here The Barnacle (i encourage you to read up on its history- it’s interesting) the cover charge is a $2 donation - I’ve never understood why more people don’t know about this place!) The same goes for Deering Estate, The Monastery, and The Coral Castle)
I wish I would’ve made it to the Holocaust Memorial… that looked incredible. Oh cool, Stiltsville! Excellent recommendations, looked like a perfect trip.
There's an awesome place in South Beach called GOGO FRESH that sells really good empenadas.
Im with your dad no caves, no mosquitoes , no ferris wheels but i love biscayne national park been there once 15 yrs ago

GREAT Video once again. I absolutely love the Miami culture and beach. However, we made the mistake of going to South Beach at night on a weekend. NOT a good idea. We didnt feel safe at all.

The only time I ever had a bad experience with an AirBnB host was in Miami. There's a higher concentration of assholes there.
Take it from a Florida native if you have kids don’t go to Miami
There are plenty of good places for kids, heck we even have Children's museum
It honestly depends on what you come here for. I lived in Miami my whole life and there's definitely things for kids to do although a lot is gonna cost money.

Bayside is such a tourist trap, overprice parking, i wouldnt waste your time there. I would add Deering Estate and Coconut Grove to the list :)

I have been an exchange student in finlandia university in 2005 from finland. It is a rather homophobic place. Soon after i moved to the dormitory the word fag was carved into the door of the elevator. I got called that quite often there, sometimes even by the "teachers".
I wish people would stop tell tourists about Wynwood can us locals have something of our own. I hope wynwood doesn’t turn into another south beach 😷
