I bought this machine recently. Initially I rotated the spool clockwise to loose it up, as shown here, but to no avail. I used the rule of thumb of loosening a screw (anti clockwise) and it works! I noticed the nut was also tightened up by rotating it anti clockwise here when it suppose to be the other way around (?)
Some equiptment with rotating parts are counter threaded so it doesn't loosen itself while running

what is the blade called @2:48 that you used for the bigger and thicker stuff, I just bought this string trimmer, but it didnt come with that blade
us/eu/uk version look different than this. it has motor inside the casing instead of inside the trimmer head, variable speed, and battery slides downward when placed horizontally. i'm in asia, i'm afraid what i'm getting is inferior compare to other region.

@@cretools thank you for the link. But this blade is not there, nor on their official website or any other place on google. They sell blades for mowers but not for string trimmer
