Hey, so, I kinda forgot to show the Shadow Guard from the Force Unleashed. It slipped my mind due to it not technically being a Royal Guard. I'll show it in a future video, but it's basically the 2005 ROTS one with a new weapon and inverted colors. Sorry if you wanted to see it, it'll appear in an "Every Shadow Imperial" video.

I love the Emperor's Royal Guards...Their armor is badass, and I loved the Crimson Empire comic series. I only have the black series rerelease of the VC Royal Guard but it's one of my favorite 3.75" figures.
I liked the Crimson Empire series too. I actually still have the first comic.

I have the hardcover collection of all three trade paperbacks. Easily one of the best comic series in the Legends continuity.

They made a Shadow Guard that has entirely inverted colors, probably should have shown it but I kinda forgot and it's not really a Royal guard.

i don´t know why,but the black series one don´t like to hold his pistol properly...
Can't say I've ever put the pistol in his hands honestly, but I can imagine it struggles. Later TVC figures seemed to have that issue.
I found the Clone Wars 104th battalion Wolfpack gift set at Target for $60. Is it worth it?
Depends on how you feel. Comes out to 15 per figure. If that sounds good to you then get it, but if it seems too pricey then hold off.

The second imperial guard looks like granny in disguise
I didn't like how that bearded head on the vintage collection/Black Series version is a bit too small. The helmet doesn't stay on good. So, I tried some other heads. The perfect one is the Force Link General Hux head. (the Hux figure with no hat sculpted on.) It fits on the guards body good and tight, and the guard helmet fits on the head tight too.

which one do you prefer more the revenge of the sith or the crimson empire royal guard? And which one is more cost efficient/cheap?
Honestly, I personally prefer the ROTS Royal guard, but the Crimson Empire ones are probably better figures. Both are fairly cheap, so pick what you like.
Yea I am surprisingly a big fan of the ROTS saga collection due to their detail and articulation. But not only that I also like the figure selection from the collection- they have figures from both the Clone War era and The original Era which is awesome.

My 2005 royal guard has a missing hand
My Clone Trooper officer figure from Attack Of The Clones lost his hand too
But the problem with the black series is the helmets and armor are WAY too loose. I am going to add some Sculpt to the inside of mind's helmet. That shoulder armor never stays put the way you want it and slides right off his neck.
Yeah, the helmet is pretty loose for sure. Doesn't bug me too much, but it's certainly an issue.

I'm not a fan of the old EU/Legends so I only have 1 Mara Jade (the comic pack one) that I found at a Goodwill, so I can't do that one for ya!
In that case could you possibly do an Evolution of Han Solo or Chewbacca?
Given how the CZcams channel is changing from my more casual videos to the Jcc2.0 formats, Evolution videos will probably be replaced with a video on toys of the character, say "Han Solo toys". It'll be even more inclusive of different Han stuff and be more general, which is what I want the channel to be, more of a general toy channel.
only ones ur missing technically are, the training 4 pack, shadow guard, and the expanded universe sun guard.
Training 4 pack technically aren't full-fledged royal guards, the shadow guard I have but I didn't show, and there was never a figure of the Sun Guard.
*sentinel the EU figure, aka the only one that remotely could be confused for a sun guard.

RoTS is still the best and most playable with the best body sculpt. Wish he had proper elbows, ankles, and knees. BS/VC accessories fall off and he is too short for the line imo.
Maybe if they release a BS/VS of the new Praetorian from The Mandalorian we can kitbash a perfect Royal Guard.
I have the attack of the clones one, the revenge of the sith one, and the black series 3.75/ vintage collection because there the same thing

my Wal-Mart have the black series on clearance, I was able to pick up two for 12$. they are very nice indeed. Definitely better than the newer black series Vader, with his southpaw saber and helmet that won't stay on.
That Black Series Vader was good like 10 years ago. It's so outdated now and it shocks me that they re-released it.
I have the 2013 ESB Black series Vader, and he is way better than that pos walmart exclusive.
Fortunately, the walmart one only cost 6$.
Same here, that 2013 Vader is my go-to 3.75" Vader. No clue why they re-released the old Saga Collection one almost 10 years after it originally came out.
yeah, I can only think that it's some Disney decision. kinda like the 2010/2013 Legacy ATAT selling between 80-100$, and the 2016 At-ACT selling at 250$ and being about a foot shorter with far less features. Unless you are really into blue tooth aps that make it walk.

hate, hate, hate plastic/rubbery capes and such. i know i'm being a nit. just as ROTJ came out i was getting too old to play with action figures so i never had any of this line, and i'd have definitely had several of these otherwise, just too cool. plus, he has an actual weapon which, i believe, the ROTJ line was lacking.
with all of these i just wanna make a custom figure with a cylon eye, but then i remember i have no idea how to make custom figures....
I don't mind plastic/rubber capes from time to time, say with characters that are more static, or more about their appearance than being able to pull off action poses. While I see why earlier Royal/Red Guard figures had them since they WERE static in the movie, I appreciate being able to pose them in later releases.
