It is like buying a 911 Porsche with a VW beetle engine. I watch this and can’t help thinking that if I were a US citizen I could buy a decent .308 hunting rifle and scope for half the price of the Impact and a Pard nv008.

the accuracy of this isn't great ... I had the Mk2 , and I had nothing but issues with mine, I found that it wasn't accurate at all , and had a massive fps spread .. tbh it was the most inconsistent rifle ive had ... I really was excited for it and was expecting something really special, but was a massive let down ..
The rifle felt comfortable even for a lefty , the trigger was ok nothing amazing, as I mentioned accuracy was poor and the fps was inconsistent .. It is easy to work on, and adjust/tune and I liked the idea of changing calibers albeit this does unsettle the barrel every time .. the magazine is poor, and pretty lame tbh the pellets rattle around inside it even with the smallest movement .. the magazine is held in place with rubber balls which fall out and are easy lost, I put some of the poor accuracy down to the waffty mag .. the scope does sit high up on the rifle making it a little top heavy, I found that It suited having adjustable mounts .. the large bottle does give a lot of shots, and I found that I didn't need to fill up as much , the adjustable shoulder pad, seemed cheap but worked ok nothing special again .. The action was ok, felt pretty smooth, but again there are little rubber balls as stops which do fall out easy .. the rifle does come with a case with foam inside, not the worst neither the best, better options, if I had kept the rifle I would have bought something else ..
I sold my HW100kt laminate and bought the impact , unfortunately this wasn't my greatest decision , and in the end the impact had to go ...
for me it seemed like it was going to be the ultimate rifle being able to swap from 22 and .177 as and when , with huge shot counts, modern tactical looking , loads of accessories and bits to buy .. but the reality is that these just dont perform in the sub 12 (uk) range as well as other rifles more suited to this market .. im sure they have better results in the full power versions ..
the last thing is word of warning, dont buy one of these second hand, even from a shop , they will all most deff have been messed around with , altered and people end up selling these on as like me they have lots of problems with them ..

Hello, I see that the pressure gauge of the 1st regulator is not correctly adjusted. It should be at 150 bar. And the second regulator on 70-75 bar. With the .22 caliber and the second regulator on 50 bars you lose power. With 14.40 gr pellets you should normally reach a speed of around 1000 FPS.

Not very accurate considering the selling point and FX's claim is that, and I quote: 'The most advanced, most exciting & most accurate air rifle available''
There are more accurate sub 12s on the market at half the £1850 asking price for this particular weapon.
    Looks aren't everything.

The FX is a great gun, but when you buy one on FAC to get the best out of it you need to spend quite a bit more to make it an amazing gun.
You need the carbon fibre stiffener then the carbon tension kit, then the Arca rail and adjustable butt stock, the slug probe is an advantage too. Then the fun stats or should I say frustration !
Having had mine for nearly a year I got through thousands of pellets, days spent on the range tuning turned into months.
Then one day those 100m groups started shrinking, firstly producing a 30mm 5 shot, then minor adjustments and the WOW factor kicked in when the 15mm groups became the normal on no wind days . Using 25.39 JSB KO slugs at 970 fps
With the full power working well I found by merely turning the power wheel to position 3 the 18gn JSB pellets were on the money too.
I have found though my rifle will not tolerate anything made by H&N

First you fail to say how far the targets are so the testing accuracy is totally irelevent, Then you only put 5 pellets through the barrel befor changing the pellet type/manufacturer !!!
You ought to know that even a smooth twist needs to settle or lead in to a change of pellet because the lead composition can change and the deposits left by a particular pellet differ from one type to another.. so your shooting at an unknown distance, without allowing the rifle to lead in and constantly changing the pellets to confuse the results....well done !!
if you shoot 20 pellets then start recording the results you will get a verry different result ! and if you actually tell us the range to target distance then we would be able to see the accuracy of the rifle with each of the test pellets.. This would be a usefull video..

    • @mikeyb9819
      @mikeyb9819 Před 5 měsíci

Your comment seems quite unfair. Firstly, the target range is clearly shown at 30m. Secondly, Chris mentions that accuracy improved after his initial pellet testing for the very reasons you state and, indeed, shows those results.
