i love how many times tobin heard the same theme almost twice in a row and came to two completely different, yet equally wrong ideas for it.
YES, more than that, the roaming unovan legendaries, wich are SO iconic, and he kept forgeting about it

The thing that you can recognize arceus’ theme is that it has the war drums to it and sounds like divine justice being passed down
It is even more obvious when you play Legends: Arceus, where it is just the drums.
That theme oddly fits the *Danmaku* that Arceus throws at you.

I'm gonna be that 🤓 guy, but for Jesus, Pokémon might be following gnocticism with him and his female counterpart, Sophie (or was it Sophia? I don't remember) , being represented by the Eons.
It's only a theory though, but one that can hold pretty well actually. And Mew would be like an androgyne pkmn fusion of Adam and Eve instead.
But still an interesting starter trio.

Since when has Pokemon used religion as any actual lore inspiration? A divine creator and a divine destroyer are not exclusive to any one religion, or even religion itself. Mew also was in gen 1, back when the legendaries were fire/water/thunder birds, why tf would they make Mew Adam and Eve??? And eons??? All that's coming up for that are the Eeveelutions, are you trying to say the Pokemon company used some religious thing to inspire the Eevee's instead of just...the typings???
I'm all for wild fan theories but this feels like the time the BBC Sherlock fandom gaslight themselves into thinking the third season didn't really end and the secret last episode that would make everything good was gonna be aired under the name Appletree Yard because the main actress happened to have the last name Watson. I guess you guys didn’t realize but the Kantonian Birds do actually have a unique battle theme in X&Y and they share it with Mewtwo in that game!
If they share it with new two, how is that unique

And they don't even use _that,_ they used the RBYG Wild Theme... and labeled it FRLG?
Mew also has his own theme though it’s very subtle

For Manaphy/Phione you can always use the Legends battle music.
So if Calyrex has its own theme but Tobin played the "Spectrier/Glastrier" theme does that mean he played the wrong one?
If that’s true, Calyrex+Spectrier has always appeared in almost every video.

@@cube-bt2vh Shadow Rider had the right theme, but it was just called Spectrier in the reveal. Ice Rider was given the wrong theme, and it actually caused Luke to guess the wrong Pokemon (because he got the theme right).

At the end of the day, most of the Pokemon are uber tier so even the “bad” pokemon were still great.
Pokemon also has a lot of RNG involved and this battle would have went very differently if Woah just got fully paralyzed for 1 more turn
For Meloetta you can always use the signature move relic song theme

I can recognise Rayquaza's theme from a mile away, distorted and under an avalanche. It's my favourite legendary. Just looks so cool and the Mega is cooler and the shiny is cooler still!

Not only that he sabotaged him twice. Once by talking over the entire song (causing him to pick the wrong pokemon) and another by straight up playing the wrong theme.

Interesting concept. If you want to do a follow up you could do “pick a starter but you hear the route theme the ‘mon is from” So Lavender Tower for Gengar or Route 111 for Flygon

Calyrex has his own theme, The horses have a shared theme, The Rider forms have its own theme that is a combination of both themes.

STAB Surf in the rain is already better than Non STAB Super Effective Earth Power, and the plates still give Arceus a 20% boost to its type damage right?

Heres an idea for you You and your opponent each take turns rolling a D6 (6-sided die) and you select the starter from the number rolled. So for example, your pokemon are 1, 2, and 3 and your opponents are 4, 5, and 6. So if you roll a 5 you select the pokemon in the 5th spot, which would be your opponents 2nd pokemon. And to make it interesting, you roll before you see the starters. You each do this 6 times

What about choosing your starter Pokemon based on the trainer theme? With all the Pokémons the League Champions use! For example, if you hear Cynthia’s theme, it could be either Garchomp or Togekiss
