The way she says 'Mr Sheffield' is just terrific. She still thinks of him as her Mr Sheffield. They have wonderful chemistry and it made them epic couple on the Nanny. But in real life Charles is married since 1980's and Fran is married since few months. They married to other people. In real life they just close friends. Her voice used to annoy me but now I think it's amazing. The way they hug and kiss each other is just epic. They do love each other in real life but only as friends. Epic love relationship that we've seen on the Nanny was just work. Yeah when I was watching their amazing kisses I also wondered how Charles's wife took it but she must have understood that this work.

There has been quite a lot of famous tv couples, that made us laugh and cry, over the course of the last several years. But the love and affection, that they both felt for each other on THE NANNY, was both SPECIAL and totally MAGICAL ! There never has been, and there certainly will NEVER be another beautiful and sweet sitcom quite like THE NANNY. It's always nice when co-stars who play either best friend or romantic partners really like each other in real life, even as friends. I have heard that Mark Linn-Baker and Bronson Pinchot, who played Larry and Balki on Perfect Strangers, became best buds in real life, too. And Fran seems to have a good relationship with Lauren Lane in real life.
They have AMAZING chemistry. Not all chemistry has to be romantic, although I think they would have made a great couple if they were both single. I hate when people say "you should break up with so and so", it's so wrong to their actual SO. I love seeing people be respectful of other's relationships. Although tbh I bet she has great chemistry with almost anyone (he probably does too), she seems very sincere. So I actually wrote the part about respect and people telling someone they should break up with someone so they could be with their fictional spouse, before I had even heard the part where people told him to not be with his wife. It's sad that, that behavior is predictable :(

Mista Sheffield and Fran look amazingly like they did 17 years ago without the use of face cement aka plastic surgery. I recently started watching The Nanny again here in Canada on MTV. Two realizations 1) how brilliantly written acted it was 2) how few comedies in 2019 could even come close.

Charles Shaughnessy was a fantastic Mr. Sheffield! Charles does comedy so well, and it's funny, but I still remember him as Shane Donovan on Days of Our Lives. When I started watching The Nanny, I had to remember that he was doing a comedic role now and not playing a good guy international detective! He's terrific and Fran if Fantastic! I love the cast of The Nanny!!!

They are: MAXWELL BEVERLEY SHEFFIELD and FRANCINE '' FRANNY '' FINE. In my book, they are undisputedly: AMERICA'S MOST ADORABLE TELEVISION COUPLE OF THE 20th CENTURY.
The writers made some shifts with Max's character in season 5 (mostly) that I didn't like. Early on, the reason for the "will they, won't they" was that Max was either still grieving his late wife or he felt uncomfortable with getting involved with anyone, like it was disloyal and/or he worried about how it would affect the kids. So, even though Fran used words like "afraid of commitment," he wasn't trying to fool around casually, but avoid commitment. He was uncomfortable with any kind of involvement. In one season 4 episode, he admits to Fran he would, physically speaking, like to go to bed with her, but he can't go through with it because he considers it "a very serious step" and "the stake are far too high." But then there's another season 4 episode where he goes out on a date with someone else and Fran catches him kissing the date. And in season 5, (the episode before The Wedding) we are told Max had a casual fling around the time his brother Nigel was wooding Fran...and Max's fling is implied to have been "physical." CC is the one to expose this, and she claims he has a "roving eye" and checks HER out in the office, and she is kind of disgusted with him...which is a bizarre shift of character for CC, too. Also, at first Max just plain didn't want to date, but in season 5 he kinda-sorta admitted that he and Fran were dating, yet he didn't say he loved her, he worked too much, etc. It made him seem bad at relationships rather than not ready for one - and they had stuff about Fran being in therapy and deciding her father was aloof, too - and it seemed less romantic, somehow, than in the earlier seasons. And in the early seasons, they made it feel like the mother's death was the reason for Max's and the kids' emotional issues, but later on, there was a reference to the mother spending a lot of time at the country club, which makes you wonder if she or Max were that close to the kids even when she was around.
Sneha Mishra : The sweet, romantic chemistry which Maxy and Franny deeply had for each other on '' THE NANNY, '' was truly MAGICAL !! I just wish that they would have married each other, in REAL LIFE ! That would have been 10 times more emotional, than their brilliant performance on THE NANNY.

I think it 's the same wether you're famous or not, it's sometimes hard to keep in touch but with real friends,it doesn't matter, you can meet year later and it only seems like yesterday !

Even forget Tony Micelli and Angela Bower of WHO'S THE BOSS. Only ONE cute pair, surpassed everyone of these couples, by turning their beautiful relationship into one of the most romantic, and heartwarming love stories ever created for a sitcom in modern tv history. They are: MAXWELL BEVERLEY SHEFFIELD and FRANCINE '' FRANNY '' FINE. In my book, they are undisputedly: AMERICA'S MOST ADORABLE TELEVISION COUPLE OF THE 20th CENTURY.
The writers made some shifts with Max's character in season 5 (mostly) that I didn't like. Early on, the reason for the "will they, won't they" was that Max was either still grieving his late wife or he felt uncomfortable with getting involved with anyone, like it was disloyal and/or he worried about how it would affect the kids. So, even though Fran used words like "afraid of commitment," he wasn't trying to fool around casually, but avoid commitment. He was uncomfortable with any kind of involvement. In one season 4 episode, he admits to Fran he would, physically speaking, like to go to bed with her, but he can't go through with it because he considers it "a very serious step" and "the stake are far too high." But then there's another season 4 episode where he goes out on a date with someone else and Fran catches him kissing the date. And in season 5, (the episode before The Wedding) we are told Max had a casual fling around the time his brother Nigel was wooding Fran...and Max's fling is implied to have been "physical." CC is the one to expose this, and she claims he has a "roving eye" and checks HER out in the office, and she is kind of disgusted with him...which is a bizarre shift of character for CC, too.
Also, at first Max just plain didn't want to date, but in season 5 he kinda-sorta admitted that he and Fran were dating, yet he didn't say he loved her, he worked too much, etc. It made him seem bad at relationships rather than not ready for one - and they had stuff about Fran being in therapy and deciding her father was aloof, too - and it seemed less romantic, somehow, than in the earlier seasons. And in the early seasons, they made it feel like the mother's death was the reason for Max's and the kids' emotional issues, but later on, there was a reference to the mother spending a lot of time at the country club, which makes you wonder if she or Max were that close to the kids even when she was around.
